I went and read the gematsu article and noticed that Kizuna AIs score didn't add up but it should be 29/40 rather than 27.

Don't remember if BOTW got the actual perfect score but Zelda going on the red carpet perfect show as usual haha

So perfect scores from both Famitsu and Edge to TOTK. Seldom unity.

Pardon my ignorance, but why are Famitsu scores not counted on metacritic?

Love and tolerate.

That was years ago.

I'd trust a Famitsu review more than I would a review from some obscure European or American site.

Not sure I understand their logic here.

Why do "games they reviewed never released in the west" matter anyway? Just cover those released in the west, right?

for example, metacritic can definetly put famitsu's score of tears of the kingdom into average, no?

That feels like one of the most weak sauce justifications I ever heard. I mean, they just could take only the reviews for games released in the west. But even more: why restrict your platform on western games only, including games released in other parts of the world would make your platform internationally more relevant. Restricting yourself that way makes you ask why they feel it important to inject that western bias.

The suspicion though is always that Famitsu too often disagreed with more western review outlets.
