I would be interested in seeing the non-duplicate polling results. And I’m not sure I’d say this site is “vastly majority Nintendo.” It is much more of an even split between Nintendo & everyone else. (ofc im speaking as the person with a Majora’s Mask pfp lol so maybe im not the most reliable person on this matter.)

The site's not "vastly majority" Nintendo really.
They do have the largest user share of the big three, but if I had to take a guess I'd say it's like 45% Nintendo, 35% Sony, 20% Xbox/PC.
Yes, I got invited by Nintendo and pre-ordered the Mario Kart bundle, a Pro Controller and a Gamecube Controller. And i will be playing with the console today for the first time at the event in Berlin, I'm sitting in the hotel next to it right now. I could see people walking in and out of there yesterday all day long, lol. This is the view from my room =D

I think that's just normal. I used to be a huge Sony fan but for the last couple of years I couldn't give a flying fuck about what they are doing, considering their current output and market behavior. The only somewhat interesting player that was left in the console business is Nintendo.
OT: don't really have FOMO anymore for any game or system. I will probably buy a Switch 2 down the road, maybe even this year, but going to wait for somewhat normal availability.

Your experience is based on the forums, but this is a frontpage poll.
Also, at the time of your post, 46% was the share of votes that want a Switch 2 at launch. When you add the numbers from those who plan to get a Switch 2 later, the total of interested people goes above 70%.

I figure the front page polling works differently on the front page here than a thread since it allows for multiple polling it must be something to do with IP addresses not being static anymore and allows for multiple polling of the same person, it also doesn't seem to be account locked. Not really a great way to poll to be fair.

I doubt that duplicate votes will play a noteworthy role here. The major difference that a frontpage poll makes is that the amount of votes will be at least ten times higher than a thread poll by default, because the amount of visitors is much higher than the amount of active forum members. So seeing hundreds of votes instead of only dozens doesn't mean that there's manipulation going on, it's just the natural result of the much greater exposure that any frontpage poll enjoys.
