The PS5 started to slow down a little in Japan. It should average 30 thousand per week for the rest of the year

it is a 40% down year on year, if it is going to average 30k per week it will end 2024 with a massive 36% down year on year.... not "a little" slow down.

Switch!!!

Suprisingly close between the top 3, rare to see several debuts that close to each other.

Oh so it did do pretty well then. Knowing digital is higher now, it might have done a bit higher than 100k first week putting it close to Epic Yarn.

Hopefully the game does well WW and makes Peach a bigger character in Nintendo's roster. She def has potential.

Man the Switch's pace is incredible. It will outsell the DS's lifetime sales in no time!

Very nice boost for Switch from a mid tier release. Disappointing that PS5 didn't see much of a boost from two mid tier releases of its own.

Switch is doing incredible sales in it's now 8th year.  It's currently ahead of 2018 YoY, and it will be doing extremely well for as long as it can keep doing that.

PS5 sales are starting to look reasonable now.  Hardware sales are down, but software sales are looking decent.  Perhaps we might start seeing a correlation between PS5 hardware and software sales going forward.  Is that asking for too much?

Peach doing a little better than Mario Vs Donkey Kong which opened with 61,930 units, I expect the same trend Worldwide.

Not too shabby numbers by the new releases this week. Princess Peach Showtime is a good performer relative to other Good-Feel releases, so they must be happy there.

Don't how the numbers for DD2 compares to the first game but it doesn't look bad.
Rise of the Ronin will be a smaller hit for Sony in the meantime.

It's so surprising to see the Switch get quite the leg up this week though 😆
