After a long period of good hardware sales and poor software sales, PS5 has now flipped to having some good software numbers but poor hardware.
Ronin and Dragon's Dogma did nothing to move systems despite having decent debuts.

On the other hand, Peach seems to have shifted a fair few Switches, probably by appealing to women and girls.

Did overseas demand for Japanese PS5's suddenly decline or something? Cause it being below 30k two weeks in a row after having none under that for over a year excluding the weeks leading up to the PS5 Slim is certainly strange.

Lifetime Sales Predictions 

Switch: 160 million (was 120 million, then 140 million, then 150 million)

PS5: 130 million (was 124 million)

Xbox Series X/S: 54 million (was 60 million, then 57 million)

You weren't around in 2017, otherwise you'd get the joke in an instant. A former user was pretty much preaching all the time that the Switch sales were going to drop down a cliff every minute now, and this has become a running joke since then.

Luigi's Mansion 3 hanging in there near the back of the top 30, slowly inching its way towards the million mark.
The top 30 remains full of evergreens as a pine forest.

Interesting. The last time Luigi's Mansion 3 was on the top 30 Famitsu sales was October 15-23 2023 with sales at 929,499. Perhaps by its 5th anniversary it will finally reach 1 million in Japanese physical sales.
