The show was really kinda meh, there were some nice smaller games, like that new sword surfing Journey, but the only big thing IMO was MGS3 Remake... and it was just a cgi tease.

The next couple of years will be very telling what kind of leaders Jim Ryan and Herman Hulst really are. Up to this point they’ve just been riding on the wave of projects that started with Shawn Layden. We’re only now getting to the point in time where we’ll start to see the fruits of this new leadership.
So I’m really interested to see what else Sony has in store for the future if it is indeed true that they held back from this previous showcase.

Beyond just looking like a neat game, there's something to be said about being pure "trailer porn." The way those sumptuous visuals are framed, the general concept being shown without stating a word, and so on. Just a great way to sell me.

My problem with the presentation was that it felt like just a bunch of trailers back to back with the weird PS logo interstitials in between.
Live shows were awkward but they had some thought and planning behind them and the presenters usually gave a proper introduction to what was coming next.
Even the Nintendo Directs seem to do a better job of this with a small teaser and introduction of what is next.
There was also seemingly no order to the announcement. If it were me I would have divided it into sections like this:
-Live Service Games
-Indie Games
-New Trailers for Previously Announced Games
-Updates and DLC to existing Games
-PSVR 2 Games (They sort of did this but it was out of left field)
-World Premiere 3rd Party Announcements
-Hardware Announcements
-PS Studios First Party Games

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.
Did anyone actually care about PSVR stuff? Did anyone else wish they would be over faster to get back to PS5 stuff? Then again I am the only one on Earth who wanted to see Granblue Relink even tho I have no history with that franchise. I just like more ARPGs.
Last edited by Leynos - on 28 May 2023whats the point of making a remaster and a remake that plays the exact same for MGS3. why are people so excited for dated gameplay that you can get on a emulator. i was wishing that MGS3 would be a remake like resident evil 4 remake but that doesn't seem to be the case judging be the screen shots.

This is about all modern day Konami can do without fucking it up, look at Metal Gear Survive and Contra: Rogue Corps and tell me you trust them to make a new Metal Gear game (MGS6?) from scratch. Even then, I wouldn't put it past them considering they somehow fucked up remasters of 2 of the greatest survival horror games of all time (Silent Hill 2 and 3) via the Silent Hill HD Collection.
Oh, and turns out this will be internally-developed by Konami, not outsourced like the Silent Hill 2 remake:
Asked who the Snake Eater remake "Development Team" is, a spokesperson says it's a combination of Virtuos and "Konami's development team." https://t.co/3XggUPTr6H pic.twitter.com/PefpZ8oxFv

Thats great news. MGSV has amazing gameplay if MGS3 can play like that then it's day one.

Whenever anything VR gets brought up, whether its PC or console, I always skip lol.
