Out of curiosity, what exactly did Gina say that you found worthy of despise? I've personally identified as left-leaning my entire life, but lately have been distancing myself from that side of the spectrum, not because my views have changed, but because the definitions of what it means to be left-leaning have changed. Under the old definition, I can't really find anything she said that is worth despising. If there's something I missed though, I'd be happy to hear it.

Ridicule of the mask mandate is bad, as the epidemic is actually killing people and therefore I despise everyone who help a notion that is in the end increasing the death toll. Supporting the ridiculous claims of voter fraud in the election is also meh. And the post in question, comparing forms of opression falls flat the moment one side in the comparison was killed for being what they are and the other is not. We shouldn't forget that killing is the ultimate tool of opression, so I am hesistant to compare that to people that see much softer pushback.

She wasn't trying to make the claim that modern conservatives are currently under the threat of genocide, but rather that the genocide of the Jews during WWII was the ultimate culmination of increasing dehumanization that occurred over a lengthy period of time. Hitler didn't just show up one day and convince a nation to eradicate a group of people. It was a gradual process. As time has progressed, over the last 5 or so years, conservative and right leaning people have consistently been demonized and vilified by the mainstream media, large swathes of politicians and pretty much all of academia. This is only going to intensify under the Biden administration as the idea of meritocracy is destroyed in favour of equity.
Gina wasn't claiming that it has reached the height of what the Jews went through during WWII (obviously). She's merely waving the red flag and bringing attention to the fact that we are currently walking a very dangerous path that is going to have terrible consequences for many, many people (of all sides of the political spectrum) in the not too distant future. Frankly, I agree with her. I think a civil and/or revolutionary war is inevitable at this point. Identity politics is absolutely poisonous and history has shown over and over that nothing good comes of it. It was at the forefront of the Russian revolution which ultimately culminated in nearly ending the world as we know it in the 1980s. In the future, people like Gina and myself will be proven correct, although I don't want to be. Give this video a watch, if interested.
