Another thread name calling Trump... whatever he does is wrong in liberals eyes.

He could literally cure cancer and he still would be called a bigot misogynist racist transphobic orange clown by Twitter checkmarks.

Theres no way, that Trump ever cures cancer.
If he did, Im sure he would get all the credit he derserved for such.

Be real Radek, trump is just borderline incompetent.

Think the Bernie supporters need to give it a rest. He lost 4 years ago and he lost again. Nobody is buying what he is selling.

It clearly was an example. But the point is that whatever your stance is on the guy, mainstream media will go out of their way to cast anything in a bad light or if something is good news that can’t be spun, they will give credit to someone else. It’s ratings, they give people what they want to hear.

Also, we are trying to fix this.  But we've had roadblocks and irrationality put in the way several times already.

We could have been using WHO test kits this whole time but no, the Trump administration blocked them from use so that our own companies could develop their own test kits so as not to pass up an opportunity for profit.  We only learned about our first infections because some docs in Seattle broke those rules and used a test kit anyway.

Just today Republican senators vetoed an emergency paid sick leave bill.

Paid sick leave alone could've so much impact, as people don't intend to do stupid stuff to get others infected, but they need money to survive. So they are basically forced to do stuff that helps spreading the virus.

^ this, ontop of 81million people in USA not haveing sufficent coverage of health, is reason to worry.

Most other countries, theres universal healthcare, so reported numbers are high (because their good at finding/testing the sick).
While in the USA, the number is probably alot higher than the reported ones. Simply because people wont go to the hospital due to costs.

The no paid leave, is gonna make things alot harder to deal with in the US too.

Oh boy, all my old socalist beliefs and ideals are rising to the surface and I can't push them down. You know things are super fucked when socialism starts to look like the answer.

It should be a human right, to have free healthcare.
Countries should protect its citizens imo.

I'd not even call that socialism.

Its funny the line is drawn at hospitals and the sick.
Imagine if police and fire-fighters where privatised too?

"Mam, I see your house is on fire, do you have insurance? otherwise we wont come put it out!"
"a robber you say? are you insured?"

Somethings a societ just needs to "do".
Healthcare is part of that.

Education should be as well.
USA has really low social mobility.... the "american dream" (work hard, you can achieve anything) is a lie.
In the US, the rich stay rich, and the poor stay poor.

I bet you, that they "okay" a care package for the stockmarkets :P

Who cares about "little guy", the worker that cant afford food, if he takes a sick leave.
The big companies that could lose value on the stockmarkets! those are the real worries.

Who said this?

hahah you expect me to remember the names of random twitter or  reddit users? i only use youtube and ive seen plenty of videos covering the topic and when trump did the China travel ban one of those videos was in part adressing the reaction on twitter/reddit (dont remember which of the two), with people saying he was over reacting or straight up saying it was a racist move.

If i remembered the video in question i would post it here but that was like a month ago and ive seen dozens of those some of them being lives streams over 2 hours long, could have been one of the many livestreams done by Metokur or something by memology etc...

To put it into context.

Back then when the virus was only in China, South Korea and Japan there was concerns that this virus would lead to racism towards asians, and there was even articles about it like this one, this one and this one there was even a video (either something done by a content creator or something made by a company) trying to combat this racism, it consisted of a asian man in the streets of Italy, wearing a mask and holding a sign that said something along the lines of "im asian and im not responsible for the coronavirus, im not infected either!", and during the video people would come over to him and hug him showing him love and acceptance, and that video came out one week before the virus outbreak in italy (as if a cruel joke from god) obviously im not saying that guy had the virus just pointing out the irony of the whole situation.

FUCKING FOUND THE VIDEO (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lULceASXv88)

What im trying to prove here is that there was a movement just a month ago (before this shit got serious outside of china) that had some people concerned about this creating racism towards asians, and back then when trump implemented the travel ban i saw a video showing some of the reactions on social media and there was people saying it was a "racist"  and exaggerated move.

EDIT: Hey to prove my point further (n my search for the articles above) i just found an article about trumps chinese travel ban and in the comments (just as i said before) there are people calling him a racist for doing it and saying that he is over reacting.

here is the article

here are some of the comments

To be clear these ARE NOT the comments i saw a month ago, those were either from twitter or reddit (cant remember at this point) and i think it should go without saying it was more than just a couple of comments... but regardless there you go! proof of people calling him a racist over the travel ban and saying he is over reacting.

I think your main issue is you are ascribing something to a group that can only be proven for individuals (hypocrisy). So you would now have to show these same users saying that the Europe ban was too late. Otherwise these are just different people with different values and conclusions which are not necessarily hypocritical.

I think your main issue is not understanding what i said in my original post, of course im not implying that its the same people i think thats obvious and should go without saying... (although i wouldnt be surprised if that was the case with some people).

If you go to my original post, all i am saying is that i am having a good laugh at seeing people reacting negatively to everything he does.

EDIT: maybe i should have been extra clear in my OP so that people like you dont end up making that assumption.
