#50: One of the playable characters' name is the roman numeral for the game's number in the series.

You cut out all the best games.

Come on, A Link Between Worlds hasn't made my top 50 for a while, you just didn't notice it before cause I wasn't talking about it!

Anyways, I didn't actually mean it when I asked you guys to slow down! Gonna drop a bit more info on the hints because I might not be very active here this coming week.

#50 - I'm in it!
Hint 2 - You can barely call it a videogame.

#49 - It has clunky controls.
Hint 2 - I might've mentioned something about this a page ago...

#47 - It hasn't been ported to the Switch.
Hint 2 - It's already been mentioned as a guess for some of my other hints.

#50: Animal Crossing New Leaf

#49: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

#47: Star Fox Zero

3DS-FC: 4511-1768-7903 (Mii-Name: Mnementh), Nintendo-Network-ID: Mnementh, Switch: SW-7706-3819-9381 (Mnementh)

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

a) Fight gargoyles, golems, undead warriors and other monsters in dungeons riddled with traps.

b) Use weapons like the elven wand, ethereal crossbow, dragon claw and best of all: gauntlets of the necromancer.

Alright, its gotta be Heretic.
The first hint was a bit too vague, got me thinking it was Castlevania or something of the sort. =P

That is correct!

Alright, first hints!

#50 Pet Shop Boys and Fox Stevenson both released a song with this title a few months ago.

#49 Pixar.

#48 Same franchise as #50.

#50 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order?

So my first game's up!

#50: Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 (PS2) (up 39 spots from last year, was at 89 and didn't make the top 50 last year)

Although I haven't watched a WWE show in more than a decade, I keep coming back to this game. It's not perfect, not by a long shot. It's not even the best playing WWE game (looking at you, Day of Reckoning), but something about it is so fun. It's career mode is cheesy as fuck but great, and I actually have a lot of fun with GM mode (if DoR had it, it would be on this list instead). My older brother and I bonded a lot over wrestling back around the time this released, hell we even had the steelbook version (that apparently only released here in Australia). Games don't need to be perfect to be fun, and when they execute what they set out to do this well, I wouldn't change anything.

Hints for my next few games:

#49: Golf Story (NS) A Switch exclusive filled with cheesy humour, a different take on a sport that is widely considered boring, and a throwback to games of yesteryear all in one. Guessed by TruckOSaurus!

#48: Takahashi Meijin no bouken jima (Adventure Island) [NES] Journey across an island to rescue your girlfriend. Received an international release on the NES, but this platformer is just as iconic as the original Super Mario Bros. in Japan, if not even more so. Guessed by Jpcc86!

OK, I'll start with the hints for the first games, as tomorrow the first one already is unveiled.

#50

a) Fight the rocks before they reach the village!

b) Get resources from monsters and mines.

This has to be Dillon's Rolling Western right?

Hint 2 - I might've mentioned something about this in the Honorable Mentions post.
Hint 3 - A corridor in one of the game's latter stages is particularly infamous.

Star Fox Zero? Battletoads?

In case you couldn't tell, I really want these games guessed today. I believe in you!

Hint 3 - A Switch port was announced, but never came to fruition.

Hmmm.. Is this one Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy game??

Cool.

#50 - A classic game where you walk and shoot your way. It can't be that hard... Right?
