Kirby needs to stay 3D.

It certainly felt fresher having Kirby in full 3D. Yoshi should get that same treatment.

Yoshi is probably one of the worst-rated long running Nintendo IPs that still gets a game about every 5 years at least.

There is absolutely huge potential in a 3D Yoshi game. What do they have to lose? I guess the fact that it would probably cost more and take longer is the trepidation.

Maybe Wooly World will get a late Switch/early Switch 2 remaster or remake, and 3D Yoshi will happen in the mid to late life of Switch 2.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

What's a Nintendo game that anyone here thinks needs to change genres or gameplay style? I think Star Fox should be revamped into a free roaming space shooter.

Pokémon. The fact that GF has left the gameplay loop almost entirely intact from the days of GameBoy is kinda insane. Would it kill for them to at least add timed button presses in combat, so as to make it a little bit more engaging than “Blizzard > Blizzard > Blizzard > *enemy defeated*”? I love how the Mario RPGs play! It nothing too involved — retaining accessibility for general audiences — and provides enough engagement to keep the combat interesting.

And yet the games still sell great with each new installments.

The did that in PLA where you had speed style or strong style. I liked it and thought it would come back in S&V. Instead they just released a bug full mess.

They basically pulled a Mass Effect Andromeda.

Scarlet and Violet is the fastest selling Nintendo game of all-time. And right now, it's at 26.38 million units as of December 2024.

Until Pokémon games start selling way less, there's no motivation to make them more technically stable or change up the gameplay.

It's kinda mind blowing how it seems this critic on Pokemon mainline game about the gameplay "never changing" since the Gameboy days has been overrun to the ground despite the fact so much of it's simplicity and it's depth that was later added on with EV/IVs, objects and Nature's is litteraly part of the appeal.

Maybe it doesn't to some anymore, but that's just a conscious decision of theirs.

Ultimately, Pokemon Legends is has close we're gonna get to mainline title with change up in the gameplay formulas. People got what they wanted after all so I don't understand how the complain keeps coming anymore.

They did a great transition with the Forgotten Land, but I disagree on the "need to stay 3D" considering the pedigree of the series being almost entirely in 2D/2.5D before.

Not only that but considering the rumors for the Kirby Planet Robobot remaster, it ain't the last time you'll the pink guy in a 2D platformer.

Because people like to complain way too much.
