There is one thing that we should all be able to agree on...
A 2D Metroid game made by Retro would be the most incredible game ever...
They've made it clear that they can make a fantastic sidescroller...
And they've made it clear that they can make a fantastic Metroid...

I'd rather have Metroid.

Give DK a rest untill the next gen and let Retro crack on with Metroid.

It's time for a new Metroid game and you know it!

To be honest, while I appreciate elements of the Metroid franchise, I have to admit the gameplay itself bores me to tears.

I'd like to see them work on something new, though that likely is never going to happen.

In fantasy land then, I'd like to see Nintendo buy the 007 franchise and give Retro the license (ala Rare) to work with and make a kick ass multiplayer FPS that's fun to play with friends and has a pulse (sorry Samus).

GIVE ME 3D DK PLEASE

Wii U needs some diversity in their library at this point. Another DK platformer is tolerable, but only after Metroid or a brand new IP. If Retro created a 3d platformer with a brand new IP, that'd be exciting and the only acceptable substitute for Metroid at this point.

OT: I think it be cool, but honestly next gen console. Retro Is a developer that eventhough did extremely well with DK, is wasting their talent that Nintendo needs. 

Metroid or New IP thats different from the usual Nintendo universe is Wat Retro should be doing imo.

That said, if they made another DK im fine with it (as long as its for later as we are missing a handful of franchises for WiiU), especially if they made a 3D DK!!!

As much as I love DK:TF, I think it's time for them to do another Metroid. But not a Prime 4. Something different. We already have Metroid Prime Trilogy, it's time to take the franchise to another level (Other M doesn't count...). If you ask me where, I really don't know. Maybe a good 3D adventure game. But I'd like to be surprised when they announce the game.
