It has Link on the cover, which seemed to work pretty well

On a serious note though, Tropical Freeze and Wii Party U also have over a million without Zelda or Mario.

The moral of the story is 3rd parties simply need to make games with Nintendo IPs to achieve success on Wii U.

We saw 3rd parties using Nintendo IPs on Gamecube and OG Wii as well. Many became million sellers.

Did it work for Scribblenauts, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Rayman Legends, Sonic Lost World, and Bayonetta 2?



And to think that some users predicted it would sell that much ( or even less) during its lifetime!
