if you understood the market share that the PS2 had and the period of time it was sold and strongly supported you would not say yes. it not realistic to expect it to happen because we are in a different era. again, the PS2 had the benefit of supplying someone with a DVD player (still very relevant at the time) and a gaming platform. The PS4 does not have an extra element that will enable it to maintain on pace with the PS2. it will slow down dramatically soon

the wii u is doing horribly, the xbox one is doing a little bit better than the xbox 360, and the ps4 is doing better than the ps2 and the wii, a console that died off very fast but was still able to muster up over 100 million consoles sold. i don't understand the market share statement.

Easily, both XBO and PS4 should see 100M this gen. I think PS4 has an good chance of 200M. These consoles are going to lead the convergence of OTT TV services, Productivity apps, and gaming/entertainment on one device. I expect them to start to replace all in one pc, and tower pc sales as the generation goes on.
