No it won't. It is not selling significantly better than the PS2. It's selling better, but not that much better. This gen the PS4 is getting serious competition from the Xbox in the biggest market and a few other decently sized markets. PS2 didn't really have that much of a competition anywhere.

So you gotta cut some of those millions in US and Japan. But it'll come closer to it than any other home console

Probably not. I think the ps2 and the wii had a lot of casual appeal that the ps4 won't have like a DVD player or Motion Controls. Yes, it has a Bluray player but that won't do it since everyone already has a bluray player and VR isn't going to take off like the DVD player or Motion Controls either imo. But it will still sell super well but probably not ps2 level

Since I believe that PS4 sales are front-loaded (previous generation went on for way too long, customers were craving for new hardware) and that Sony plans on a physical PS5 before going with a streaming-only console, I don't think it will get even close to it.

when ps4 gets a price drop in the united states, there won't be much competition left with the xbox one in my opinion

Nope, impossible, like a 0.4% chance of happening, it doesn't have enough of a mass-market appeal to reach that level. Let's see what it sells during some of the slowest months this year.

I don't think so but it also depends how low the price of the PS4 drops to. I don't think it'll drop to $149 anytime soon.
