The emerging markets are selling at a much faster rate than any previous generation, for the first time we have china getting an official release.

If you take into account inflation PS4 is the cheapest Console Sony has ever Launched and due to the PC based components has the ability to become much cheaper and reduce in price faster than any of its predecessors.

So yes there is a small chance but there will be a long way to go yet.

It depens how long PS4 life cycle will last. I can't say 'not possible' right now.

Well to be honest... That option could be interpreted as [see results], since there is no option in the poll to do that. I'd really like to know why the OP thought it was necessary to put that option though.

Lastly,ps2 sold almost 26m in Japan,given the current situation of the console market in Japan it would be lucky to sell 5m there,so cut 21m,the other thing is the xb1 competition in USA and the market shrinkage(It is returning to the levels of 6th gen) but currently we can see it as ps4 and xb1 selling fast!So ps4 isn't able to outsell ps2 in my opinion!

alright this is going to make me sound like a fanboy but it needs to be said considering a lot of people think that xbox one is competition. it took xbox one dropping the price three times in less than a year ($400, $350, $329 on black friday) with two $60 and $30 games in some cases more than two games with a $50 gift card, a custom call of duty xbox one, a white sunset overdrive xbox one, and four halo games for $60 with a beta to halo 5 to outsell the ps4 in their strongest territory for one or two months. the xbox one was selling for about the same price as a ps3. before the holidays it occasionally got outsold by the wii u. i don't see xbox one being competition.

400 didn't really count. They took the Kinect out. It was less value. 329 does really count as it was one freaking day basically. One of the games being bundled is known for being broken. White sunset overdrive was available for 3 days then got sold out. Cod has been sold out since like the middle of November. Ps4 had deals too. The Mcc was broken. You can't just take away the value of the games and say it was seeing the same price as ps3. It doesn't work that way.it got outsold by wii u after Mario Kart and when wii u was in in its 2nd year. Xbox One is competition and will always be competition. Especially when big names com out like halo 5 and gears

Xbox one :75 million( was 65) 

Wii u: 20 milliion

One defining point is that the PS2 is still fully functional even to this day. All games can be played and both the system and games are extremely cheap. Unfortunately with how the PS4 is set up being tied to the PS4 PSN servers, they system is really only fully usable while those servers are up. So unless the PS4 sells as much as the PS2 before it's successor comes out, perhaps another year after that or so, I don't think it will continue to sell like the PS2 has/did. It is possible though. 



Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

I think it'll have a shorter lifecycle but it will get down in cost fast due to the initial design...I'll give it a 30-70 chance so no for now.
