What exactly is your goal by buying sealed old classics that will cost you hundreds and thousands of dollars (per game)? If you want to make a serious profit, you're 5-10 years too late. I personally have zero use for sealed games, I am totally fine when I have a complete copy in very good condition, so I can actually look at the manual and play the original cd/cartridge. I can understand the...

Is Trump serving Americans or corporate America?

    Yooka Laylee Reviews - Meta: 67 [PS4], 73 [Xb1]

in Gaming Discussion on 04 April 2017

Not sure what people expected to be honest. I love these old 3d platformers (including Banjo Kazooie) and a 7/10 is what I would've expected from this game, granted I didn't look much into it yet because I want to get surprised. Heck, Croc is a game I still enjoy despite its very apparent flaws and I would give it a 6/10 nowadays. So Yooka Laylee scores better than that? Count me in then....

Nier and Nioh are unfortunately poorly named and timed for release

in Gaming Discussion on 06 March 2017

From an objective marketing standpoint, both names are probably bad. Nier is a fantasy word (?), a single syllable and there are no "sharp" letters (I don't know the exact term; something like s or t), this all makes it hard to remember for Westerners. But it has the second half "Automata" which definitely helps a bit. Nioh is a japanese word (?) and hard to remember as well. Also, at least I...

Trump revokes Obama guidelines on transgender bathrooms

Not good, having them chose the bathroom was a much better solution, even though it had its flaws. Unisex bathrooms are the way to go anyways....

Zelda: Breath of the Wild getting paid DLC (new hard mode/new dungeons/new story)

Which type of mario do you prefer?

in Nintendo Discussion on 12 February 2017

I'd say I prefer the 64/GC style, I truly love Mario 64 and I had a lot of fun with Sunshine even though it had a couple of obvious flaws. The Galaxy games, while there's not much I could criticize for what they were, never really made me love them. I might have nostalgia bias for games with more open level design - I guess I'll know more after playing Yooka Laylee and Mario Odyssey....

It's a bad thing the Switch isn't being sold at a loss?

in Gaming Discussion on 06 February 2017

The strategy behind selling a console at a loss is to get a bigger userbase right at the beginning because of lower price, resulting in higher software sales. This would work especially well because Nintendo is more dependent on first party software than anyone else and can also cash in with accessories. Bigger userbase also raises more interest in third party support enriching the games...

Saturn was great in Japan. Not so much in the West. A couple of inferior 3d titles, some unique gems and some standard 2d stuff. No great Sonic game as well. It deservedly gets more praise as time goes on with their 2d games aging much better than the first 3d games and having a much easier way of discovering and importing NTSC-J titles nowadays. Not impressed with your saturn collection...

Trump Just Upset More People With Honesty

in Politics Discussion on 06 February 2017

Props for the statement about the US, should be the most universally acclaimed statement of his. Towards Russia, maybe he meant awe-inspiring instead of respect, because a big nation as Russia can be dangerous af and you definitely don't want Putin as your enemy....

Anti-Trump Protester lights a girl's hair on fire!

in Politics Discussion on 25 January 2017

I guess it's ironic since the left tends to claim being the morally superior side? Both the left and the right have idiots like these in their ranks and it's not a low number. Terrible incident, but I'm glad that some of the protesters still have shown sympathy for the other side and that it was shown in the video. There's so many one-sided videos out there skewing reality......

Mario Odyssey is successor Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine, not to Galaxy and 3D Land/World

in Nintendo Discussion on 16 January 2017

I honestly didn't expect Nintendo to acknowledge this! Really looking forward to play Odyssey, I've been hoping for a 64/Sunshine successor for years. I hope that they don't make the worlds too big though, this is an issue with many games. Bigger is not always better (we'll see how Breath of the Wild will do)....

Men should never marry, here's why.

in General Discussion on 22 December 2016

Yeah, I don't see much reason to marry. Also the divorce ratio in younger generations (subjective sight, didn't look up statistics) seems way too high to convince me that this old ritual is still up-to-date with society. I won't think less of any person that does so though, to each his own and hopefully it will last a lifetime (which it's supposed to). A friend who has been together with his...

We agree that Nintendo is hoarders and scalpers' best friend right?

in Gaming Discussion on 12 November 2016

It is very consumer unfriendly, though the strategy does make sense from a company's viewpoint. Not planning to get a NES Mini anytime soon, I got all the games on real cartridges. Might buy the controllers though.I've been buying some Amiibo lately for about 3-4 bucks a piece. That's about as much as I'm willing to pay for it....
