so this game is bad because its challenging and the AI is agressive when racing?

Ah well... I will wait for user reviews. Its getting really hard to trust these publications these days.

6.3 on user score so far: http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/driveclub

So... it seems true.

If you take user score seriously then I feel bad for you.

The AI isn't so much agressive as it is stubborn and linear. Instead of adapting on the fly to do what is best, they just drive in a line, like they are fastened to a track and if they hit something, well its because it got in their way. This makes certain things more difficult than they have any right to be and certainly not fun to race against. Add to that the "jarringly punitive corner-cutting and collision penalty system" (eurogamer) and you don't have the most fun racing experience from what I've read.

Additionally, it is pretty barebones, with a very light campaign mode and not enough besides conventional multiplayer modes. The social functions are nice touches that do add to the game, but its not enough to really make much of a difference. When you get something that is pretty bog standard, with a few stand out flaws, I think 5s and 6s are pretty fair scores.

Have never had any respect for Kevin VanOrd since Gerstmann-gate, when he wrote a sappy blog about the crisis in the offices. He's no Greg Kasavin or Alex Navarro. He's basically the face of Gamespot and that doesn't say much.

You might say he's uninteresting and unenergetic, just all around not really an exciting guy?

I see only Four games here (Forza, Gears, Halo and Fable) that has good reviews which are also recycled IP's in last 3 years and other games are not a AAA size games and has not good reviews. I can list many games in Plastation that are new IP's and has diveristy in game genres in last 3 years that got reviewed good. So, Sony does better here and Microsoft is horrible in exclusives and buying 3rd party games for thier exclusives.

Wow. I'm going to school right now. I'll reply to you correctly whenever I comeback.

Triple A is what only matters now?

Yes, it started around the time the PS4 started getting all the indie titles.

Unless we're flip flopping again?

Thread is about Driveclub.

Stop talking about Microsoft games. Now.

Well it's Evolution Studios.  All they've ever produced is racing games.

It would have been nice though to see them try something completely new.

Its sad to see this happen. Sony is falling into a hole where they are using graphics to sell there games. First with Killzone SF to Knack to Infamous SS and now Drive Club and possible The Order. Sony need to get there act together because there forgetting what makes games good, always Gameplay>Graphics. Yet Sony are selling systems based off hardware which is why they have shifted focus. Nintendo and Xbox seem to be housing the better games this generation and there's only more to come before 2015. Sony needs to forget about 1080p and our system is the most powerful console and focus on making great games like they did with the PS3. Let the graphics come in time. Drive Club should be ashamed considering they even delayed the game for more then a year and still come out under Forza 5 which was a game considered rushed because of XB1's launch schedule.

yeah I meant a driving game close to GT.. Motorstorm and WRC were a different direction while Driveclub is a lot closer to their main powerhouse called Gran Turismo.. makes me wonder what a Motorstorm game would have looked liked on the PS4.. why did the last few games sold so bad on the ps3? is motorstorm dead?
