And the curse of the 7th gen continues. At this rate, there will be very few indeed who make proper RPG's in the very near future.

Well, they're already preparing the later mobile release... At least it's not a mobile exclusive...
Ok, I don't remember a FF game with complex controls.

While playing FF13, most battles were won with a single button. Rarely did I need a second. If its similar to that then fuck... Not excited.

Did you win with a five star rating often? I micromanaged every battle, they were over much quicker and much more fun.

Hey man, Metal Gear Rising only had one button combat so it'll be fine :^)
Good! I don't want them to turn it into an action game.
If I'm understanding correctly, this is no different from any FF before it.
One button = attack is the norm. Whether its a button pressed or an attack option selected, attack is the normally the default action in most battles and traditionally there's only one variant of it. The question is do you have the option to manage your skill set at will: magic, items, special skills etc. From the sounds of it you can...
'' Weather has a tactical impact on battle conditions, with different types of magic having varying effects depending on weather patterns. Using fire on a clear day, for example, will not only hurt monsters, but also ignite surrounding area, make allies feel hot, and the like. As such, using magic can be a liability to Noctis, too''
Were people expecting ''square'' for quick attack, ''circle'' for power attack etc? Eww.
