So we should believe her accounts (might I add she hasnt even denied the sex allegations) because she is a female?
#Equality
and the dude is psychotic because he wants to expose the money hungry woman?

On top of that, she admitted to raping her ex boyfriend (2nd vid)

What does being a female have to do with anything? It's about getting both sides of the story.

You are just taking the word of an overly obsessive ex who after finding out she had sex with some her boss went and tried to destory her lively hood and also tried to destroy the life of the boss by telling the wife.

He is no damn saint himself. She fucked another guy. Grow up, swallow your damn pride and move the fuck on instead of going on a crusade.

I will have to watch this video to see how she "raped" him. What did she do, force him to have sex while he refused?

Second vid, watch from 9:00 mark

Link?

There is only 1 video on his blog.

Edit - Oh wow, fucking seriously? You believe that shit?

So because he had sex with her while not knowing she had sex with someone else the night before it is constituted as rape?

You're fucking trolling me right?

lol, but honestly this guy sounds like a giant p*ssy. I'm not surprised he gets cheated on.

People needs to get a life and stop caring about the sex life of devs.

If thats all you got out of this then either read or find out what she did, how it affects the game industry, why it is double standards

she had sex , what a fucking crime to the games industry right?

Yes when she uses it to gain positive press for her game and make money of it. Watch the videos if all you're getting at is this sex thing, its far greater than her cheating.

She made a company broke, a game jam because she wanted more money and wasnt happy how much the charity was getting.

She essentially censored the internet. Any youtube vid which was against her, she filed a copyright claim to get them banned.

Just watch before making generalised statements.

The point is, she can fuck whoever she wants. But when she gets a competitive edge in the industry over any other dev who's morals are high enough not to fuck for money, thats immoral, unfair and she deserves to be outed an embarrased the way she has been.

She allegedly had sex with numerous members of the gaming industry with the intent to further her career in addition to censoring information, abusing her power as a feminist in gaming, and creating false claims that would allow her to play the victim for publicity and to protect her from these accusations.

"Allegedly" being the key word.

This is all accusations with zero proof. At this point it is little more than internet wide character assassination with many here not even interested at all with what the other sides of these stories might be. They are only going with the ex's blog and videos from people taking stuff from that blog and making claims with it, like the video in the OP saying he was raped... -_-

So lets just let her off the hook for everything? We have proof that she slept with Nathan Grayson of Kotaku (which helps validate the claims that she slept with numerous other members of the gaming industry), we have testimony that she destroyed a game jam for women (with some light proof of that too), we have character testimony claiming that the accusations sound like something she would do, we have proof that she took down Youtube videos with false DMCA notices, we have proof that she fabricated evidence to play the victim in the past with WizardChan and in the present with the fake doxxing...

In addition to all of that, we have the large reaction from people to try to protect her and to accuse anyone who says anything bad about her of being a mysogynist (not saying you did that). That alone deserves a large counterpush and has been used as a talking point in all of these threads (although some people don't like that this has taken a feminist turn, although it is perfectly valid).

This deserves to be talked about for a multitude of reasons...

Without any solid proof, of course let's not just let her off the hook. She should be hanged, drawn and quartered.

None of it has any solid proof. Where I live, you don't label someone as guilty because you think they are.

Obviously I seem to be in the minority here, so I will bow out of this discussion. I can't really add much more anyways.

Look, I'm probably a bit older than you, and remember a world before the internet, 4chan and VGChartz. In that world, there were pretty firm rules for what was news and what was rumour-mongering. To make a long story short, back in those days there was a pretty widely held opinion that mob rule was a bad thing and that allegations and accusations against people should be handled under a set of strict rules demanding a high level of certainty, and that the burden of proof was on the accuser, not the accused. Back in those days, these kinds of things went through the professional press - because there was nothing else - and stuff like this would never have been discussed because there is not much proof of anything beyond Quinn being a shitty girlfriend.

Call me an old fart, but I believe that way of doing things had its virtues, and the modern way of doing things where the burden of proof is now apparently on the accused has been shown time and time again to lead to not much good.To be perfectly honest, I'm kind of morally outraged, and feel that this whole business of the internet collectively poking into peoples private lives and harrassing them is kind of disgusting, and, maybe, a sign of worse things to come.

I mean, it's one thing if someone opts to post about their own dirty laundry online - then they should have known better. In this case it was Quinns ex who posted a bunch of stuff about her because he was pissed. And honestly, having read his blog I think he might have had good reason to be pissed. Quinn sounds like a pretty shitty girlfriend. But thing is, I had girlfriends who were shitty like that, and I have been shitty like that too, and in fact most people are at one point or another if they live long enough.

I don't want a world where anyone at any time is under threat of having their private life attacked by an internet mob if they at some point was shitty to some boyfriend or girlfriend. To me that is more threatening than the "censorship" you feel it is when you're not allowed to freely opine of what goes on in other peoples bedrooms. I guess that might be a generational issue. For me, my right to privacy is worth more than the "freedom" of the internet to come sniffing up my ass and check if I wiped it today, whether my wife tipped you off disregarding.

Then if the reason the internet comes sniffing up my ass is some high minded bullshit about corruption in the game industry, whether it is in the name of libertarian principles, or if it's in pursuit of lulz (as they used to say), I don't care.

The topic really at hand to be discussed is less about Zoey Quinn and more about video game jouralism and development as a whole. Which if the accusations are indeed true that Zoey Quinn was using sex to advance her way up in the industry then it shows how corrupt this medium has become. So really the accusations cannot go to Zoey alone, that's not fair, anybody involved has to take the blame for it. Which includes the reddit mod who mass censored /r/gaming while chatting on Twitter with Zoey and the topic being avoided on certain sites or else there exists the threat of being fired. Which if true those are the issues I believe exist with this controversy.

I do there is way too much focus on the event of she having sex with those five guys and the question is if that is really wrong, if her relationship is technically on a break instead of what it could mean beyond that. We have to accept that we live in a time where information travels quickly and everybody has access which holds a variety of positives and negatives. So the two sides to the coin are this, if Zoey was a better girlfriend then the situation probably would have never happened, regarding this specific controversy and the other side is the people who Zoey had sex with should have seperated their work and love life.

Does Zoey and the other guys deserve criticism for censorship AND the insults towards other people AND refusial to tell the whole story? I think so but not on the scale that Zoey especially has been getting like saying she's ugly or a slut which is what especially drove the feminist articles that have more or less taken the spotlight in the situation. Afterall Zoey is still a human being and Depression Quest was a good thing she did. But if the corruption accusations are true, then I think gamers do deserve to hear that Zoey and the guys involved did something wrong.

I don't have much to say other than what has already been said in this thread.
