Sonic Boom has to be really innovative and breathtaking. If the game is shitty Sega shall paint Sonic and his friends black and send them pushing daisies.

lost world had already shipped 640k digital + retail on wii u + 3ds by december 31. considering it will leg out much more than that, it's a solid investiment. |
Really? Huh. Guess it's more feasible than I thought, then.
Plus, if this game is release at 40 for Wii U and 30 for the 3DS behind good marketing, which is where Cartoon Network come to play, this could be good for the game, it all depend on how well the Wii U sells.

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen. By: Suke |

For that genre I'm pretty sure it's pretty average |
I wasn't really comparing it to the other stuff in the genre but the whole industry itself.
Nintendo and PC gamer

I'm kind of hyped for this game. Rather than Team Sonic, a lot of former Naughty Dog staff are behind it. The game itself looks beautiful. I'm pretty certain it will be far, far better than Lost World.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
| Suke said: You do realize this financial practices been done plenty of time before, for example Metro: Last Light. Beside, if this game become a success, then this could be a huge profit for the Naughty Dog Vet. company Big Red Button off the ground ro developed more games. |
I have no idea what you're talking about. Metro was made on a shoestring budget by a bunch of guys freezing their asses off in some shack in Ukraine, while Big Red Button is based in expensive ass California. If there's a similarity there, I don't see it.
Even Nintendo can't make huge profit on Wii U games, so I really doubt that anyone working for a third party publisher is going to. After five years in business with no games shipped, BRB will do well if they're able to keep the lights on and don't go the way of Dontnod after this.
I haven't had this much excitement in a Sonic game in a long time. There's a talented staff behind it... The budget and development time should be more than enough.

3DS games retail for $40
WiiU games for $60
SEGA gets 45% of the retail price, so they need to sell for example
best case: 740k sales on WiiU; 0 on 3DS to break even (at full price)
worst case: 0 sales on WiiU; 1.11m on 3DS to break even (at full price)
or the more likely case: 440k on WiiU; 440k on 3DS to break even (at full price)
without ANY marketing costs.
In reality SEGA needs 1.5m to 2m lifetime sales to break even.
But since they made an agreement with Nintendo, I guess they got money from Nintendo in some way.

I agree...it looked very rough around the edges but the gameplay seemed fun. i'm very curious to see how the end product turns out

Even then it's not that much less than comparable games. I mean they call it an AAA project, but I think we all know that it's not.
No need to compare it to Metal Gear Solid V, CoD, Assassin's Creed and the likes when it's clear that Sonic isn't on the same level concerning sales.
I also doubt that it's expensive for a Sonic game. Generations was on two HD consoles and Unleashed was on 4 platforms (including 2 HD).
