More importantly, when can we expect your biased review?

Like usual, after I finished the game or played enough of it to make a fair assessment. Since this looks to be a JRPG with a lot of optional content and plenty of grinding opportunities for jobs, it's probably going to take at least two weeks. Less, if it sucks.

Haha. Looking forward to it. Sorry us Yankees can't be of any help rebuilding Colony 6 Norende until February.

Most anticipated 3DS game. With this coming along, every game that sold me on my 3DS will have been localized. Could not be happier.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

As of now I can't tell if I want to rebuild the town but it will likely happen. Depends on the quality of the game. I'll post here again when I get to that certain point in the game.

ah awesome, my FC is 3952-7166-8116.
will definitely be picking this game up on Saturday, coz Australia is making me wait the extra day =(

Will have to wait till February, but will most likely get the Collector's Edition day one (Assuming Collector's Edition comes to the states)

How could I overlook this thread?

Looked a bit around on Gamefaqs, but didn't find any posts on how exactly the online functions work. A Google search didn't turn up anything either.

What I found on Gamefaqs though is that villagers from other players could only be added via streetpass in the original Japanese release while it was possible to download 1-3 villagers every day via the internet. So the friend codes were only used to summon friends and ambilink (still not sure if those are two different features or one and the same).

Looks like we'll have to wait a little bit longer to find out how things work in the updated For the Sequel release. But in any case, it shouldn't hurt to add each other as friends, especially lestatdark who will max out all jobs before completing the first dungeon.

From the demo I got the impression you get access to another skill-set through Ambilink, while sending means you fire up the attack a friend has sent you. I should try that out.
