please, you know why people were upset. saying people were trolling just because they were calling MS on their anti consumerism...did they not try to make it harder to trade in used games? Did they not try to turn discs into glorified key codes? ala alot of PC games? because the answer to these are yes then we can see the problem.

I am sure I will get flamed and regardless I will be buying both consoles. BUT, currently I don't think Sony actually has a vision of the future so can't see how they can be credited with having the better one, it is really just more of the same with more horsepower, they are taking the easy risk free safe path, MS are trying, albeit somewhat unsuccessfully, to create a vision of the future around integrated digital experience.

I think there is a great risk that this will be the last console generation, simply because now both Sony and MS ARE playing it safe. Gamers are conservative by nature, and that is why they should try to push them forward like Nintendo did, not just presenting upgraded Machines.

Gamers accept change if it doesnt interfere stop simplify the entertainment or hinder them. DRM isnt the future, it is the present. NIntendo and Sony created various changes throughout the years and Microsoft ended added to it with online. Every once in a while there is an evolution.

What it means is that one vision was a lot more popular with most people than the other. Does that make it better? No.

well forgive me in advance but what you said didnt make a lot of sense, you say people were being close minded and trolling, but you never explained what they were "trolling" and being close minded about. I gave reasons for their "trolling" and you didnt even really adress those issues, so either A) you really dont understand what they were upset about or B) you do understand but you were ok with what MS was trying to do. If its B then thats perfectly fine but lets not say people are "trolling" especially when their concerns were legitimate. If its A)...its too late where im at to really go into detail
