I agree with you.  I think the biggest changes wont be noticed until we play them ourselves to be honest.  Much of the changes will be in the Operating Systems rather than just hardware. 

I actually think one of the biggest selling points is right in the x1 controller. If those rumble triggers provide a force feedback similar to pulling a gun's trigger, expect huge sales in usa :D

Sony has the better gaming vision, but not for the reasons you mention. They are much more focused on the games, whereas MS made it pretty clear they are about the TV, Skype and controlling the living room.

When it comes to the digital library and DRM stuff they are probably not that different in their goals. Sony is doing it by adding value with backwards compatibility and more devices, but Gaikai is still pretty much their DRM. You only get these benefits by going for their digital copies.

MS however tried to brute force it by taking away options and forcing everyone to essentially have digital copies, but if they had made it optional it would have been seen as a good thing. Their issue wasn't the idea, just the way they rushed everyone into it (probably to try and keep ahead of Sony after the Gaikai purchase).

Yes, though I'm happy that Microsoft backtracked, as I might actually get one later, before they made the changes I would never have gotten one.

Yes, no doubt about it, Sony is just a brilliant company, non-innovation is the way to go. Thats why the ps3.5 or as many others like to call it the ps4 is such an amazing machine.

I'm glad they changed a lot of the stuff about Xbox One. I think Sony did have it right from the start focus on gaming while also throwing in a side of social features etc.... After E3 I wasn't even considering an Xbox One but now I'll be picking one up when Halo comes out next year ( Maybe we'll see a special edition Xbox One).

no all MS did was show how arrogant and greedy they could be, however they did show they are also willing to make changes if they know they wont hit their target and a lot of people get pissed. Doesnt prove anything about Sony...or Ninty, except maybe they might be smarter.

Microsoft just showed their true side. The only reason they did a 180 is because of the backlash and because of what Sony did.
