Forums - Movies & TV - Why did you skip "After Earth", with the greatest Black actor of all time in it, Will Smith.

Did this thread get anyone interested in giving this movie a try?

@Spurge how do you keep up with the whole movie scene? Like i'm pretty well informed when it comes to the gaming, Sneaker and music scene but i tend to be more in the dark when it comes to the movie side of things

In short, because M Night hasn't made a good movie in a decade. The Happening was NOT decent. You are literally the first person I've ever heard call it anything but terrible.

Will Smith agreed to be in this, because it was to be a vehicle for his son. it wasn't a 'Will Smith movie".

Oh, and as for child actors, the gold standard was Haley Joel Osment, someone who's acting really helped propel the Sixth Sense, and M Night career

I thought the Gold Standard was Drew Barrymore personally.

And like what other people have said, this move is just a launching pad for his son,  who is terrible at acting.

As for best black actor,  gotta go with James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman.

I was starting to think no one was going to mention James Earl Jones.

On topic: Once I knew who the director was this immediately became a netflix rental. His movies are hit or miss and usually miss.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Because Shamallamadingdong.

And Jaden Yuki

Because Jaden just sucks.

And I much prefer Samuel Jackson as an actor, his vulgarity and craziness never stops to entertain, but smith can play a lot of different roles, and actually makes me more involved in the character

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Morgan Freeman? The guy who plays the exact same role in every movie he's in? He's got an iconic voice, and one hell of an "aura" abut him, but that's about it. Will Smith at least has some diversity.

It's purely because of his godly voice.

OT: I didn't watch it for several reasons. The main being that it was directed by M. Night Shamalamalawn.

Oh, good grief!  Now I am agreeing with you badgenome!  (Great and appropriate GIF by the way too.)

First I agreed with S.A.R.G.E. the other day, now you. What is happening to the world?  Is this a good sign, or a warning apocalypse?

I think everything  will be better with a watermelon mojito or two.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Check his resume he has been in a wide array of different roles both as a actor and voice actor.

I still want to see it.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
