The reflection on the front glasses are going to be very distracting
The steering looks nice and twitchy, just like in real life, the sound is great and the visuals amazing. Forza is a contender in the very top segment of racing games, no doubt.
I must though, I much prefer to drive souped up regular cars to supercars, it just feels amazing blowing down a straight and then powersliding a Volvo 240 station wagon around a bend at 150kmh.
If I ever get a One, Forza 5 will be my very first purchase!
Looks phenomenal. I absolutely love the reflections on the front window! (They can prob be turned off for those who want)

Forza games uses differents LOD models (with different number of polygons) for each part of the game... one for Autovista, one for start intro, one for replay, one (or more) for the races. Looks good but I think the Xbone can do better. |
Every racing game I know of does have lod for cars.

Not different LODs...
GT5 use only one LOD model per car... so the polygon count never change just the AA and others effects when into Photo Mode, Replay and racing... the Premiums cars have a LOD model with 500k polygons and the standars a LOD model between 100-200k.
Forza's games uses different LOD models... the change the LOD model... Forza 4 go from 400k polygons (ingame racing) to 1 million polygon (autovista)... it eveh change in gamplay... if you are racing alone in the track you have a LOD model and you have 12 cars in the racing another one... it does that change in LOD model in races too to mantain the 60fps.
To resume... Forza's uses a different car model for Autovista, Replay, Race Intro, InGame (1 car) - InGame (16 cars) * I don't know how many models have to ingame races *... GT5 uses a unique model per car for all the game.
Edit - The LOD model used for race events with only one car in the track is close to used in Replay Mode and it uses 4x AA in Forza... for race events with 12-16 cars it have the lowest LOD model and no AA (or 2xAA I don't remember).

What? Any proof for GT only one level of LOD? This would mean it doesn't LOD and this would also be very silly and doubtful to me. There is nothing wrong with LOD because if it is properly made you don't see it. And how do you know all the exact poly-counts?

Looks great. Imagine when they can tap the full potential of the Xbox One.
