Off the top of my head there's Skyrim (most Bethesda games really), Bayonetta, Red Dead Redemption. I also hear that Black ops 2 and Mass Effect are bad on ps3

$40k for a patch. Many DLCs require patches to work with the standard game plus additional costs to put up the DLC (needs to go through certification process). They probably can't afford to support the WiiU version for every new DLC. I guess if it's a bunch of DLC they will release it as some kind of special or GOTY edition later on.
360 version already saw two patches and from articles I've seen they are still working on a WiiU patch to fix the "exclusive" WiiU problems ? At least I haven't heard that the patch arrived.

I'm sure that if they had time to put into porting the whole entire game to the Wii U, they should have time to port over some DLC. Can't be all that hard. |
That wasnt what i was talking about, i was talking about people actually buying DLC. Its not free you have to pay for it. Wii U owners didnt get gipped, they paid the same for the same game PS360 owners got.

damn it was going to mention that.
Im sure there is a cost to patch games as it was 40k for the Xbox 360, if the sales are not there why spend the money to patch?

Skyrim, yeah. Bayonetta, there was a patch. RDR, same. I own Blops2 and ME3 and their is nothing wrong with them. DOnt know who told you that. I still would consider them shitty(minus Skyrim). Inferior? maybe. Far Cry for Wii? Thats a shitty port.
On a side note, what you said about PS360 gaming interest in the same games is spot on, I wish some of the others could see that.

It might not be hard, but it is money. Anything you do in business equates to money lost. Time is a resource. If you're paying your team to port over content then that's overhead cost, which must be measured against potential profit. If there isn't an exceptable amount of profit potential then you simply don't waste your resources. I don't know what the standard DLC buy rate is for fighting game content like this but I would hazard a guess that it's not all that high, and probably lower than average on Nintendo consoles. The calculated rate of sale for this DLC on the Wii U might be relatively insignificant.
I know some people blame everything on a conspiracy, or publishers "hating" Nintendo, but most of the time it boils down to math.

Are there games with DLC on the wiiU?? Just asking for curiosity.

Thats a pretty cool bit of information. Never knew that.
Anyway, Injustice Wii U sold less than 20,000 units Week 1 according to VGChartz while the PS3 and 360 versions opened up to 244,000 and 300,000 respectively.
Its possible that the Wii U version hasnt sold 40,000 units LTD. Hell, maybe even 30,000 units.
Is a userbase of 30-40k worth that patch cost, when the vast majority wont be buying the said DLC?

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
Just Dance 4
That's all I could find within a reasonable amount of time and without having access to the store. But it should be enough to answer your question.

that's best post I've ever seen on vgc I think. I've tried many a time, to explain it that way. And failed.
