Fanboyism is by far the worst characteristic a user can have.



My prediction threads:

Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)

PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)

Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Halo 4 first 9 weeks sales prediction

PS4 to be down YOY in 2015

My personal opinion since it's relevant to thread, so I hope it's appropriate. :)


Do you own a 3DS & PS Vita?

I don't own a 3DS currently but did for about a year, then suddenly loads of games that I'd like got released after selling it grrrr!

Don't own a Vita but I'm planning on getting one in next 1-3 months.


You will be more piss off to find out at the newer 3DS games have a 3D effect light years better then the older 3DS games LOL.

I guess a good free example would be Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate DEMO, when ever you get around to getting a 3DS again, but by then there will most likely be new Demos to download for free with even way more unbelievably better 3D effect then that.

The PS Vita is still pushing more polygons with it's 133 million polygons out of 140 million.

I think Resident Evil Revelations probably push as much as 130 million polygons out of 160 million.

I got to say that it has been a really smart strategy of Nintendo to hide such specs as Polygons & shader cores & GFLOPs, so people will have to find out for themselves and by that time it would have been 2 years that have gone by with the competition already release their new System with what they think is better specs just to find out a year later that the gap wasn't what they thought it was, because the 8th Gen Nintendo specs turned out better then people thought during the first 2 years LOL.

I wouldn't be surprise to find out that the Wii U has its GPU clocked at 800 MHz since day one by this time in 2015 LOL.

So you getting the PS Vita in the next 1 to 3 months. Will you get the 3DS next year OR by the end of this year?

Pine Trees are useless, you try burning that wood it gives a terrible smoke. Also when you climb them they have loads of mini branches that prick you in the back. Would never buy a pine tree! They also get RROD I've heard.

What in the world are you smokin? Those 'branches' you are referring to are hand holds and foot rest - so the developers can climb more easily.  They go on and on about how the Pine Trees natural tools make development so much better.  Clearly, Pine trees are the best because they make telephone polls out of them too.  Plus they are delightfully fragrant and dude pinecones!  Who doesn't love all the things you can run off pinecones!

Plus Oak Trees are super messy - they drop acorns all over the place, and tend to lag if the wind blows too hard.  Sure they have a few exclusives - like the acorns, and the fall leaves, but most multi-forest run much better on the pine trees.  Even though you may have to use a couple more for extra storage rather than just one, they tend to grow better anyway.

You can have your slow loading oaks, for me man it's pine trees all the way. 

 



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

In my opinion the media started this whole competitive thing between the consoles which in turn give their websites hits, which turns into money,

it's all about money.

Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft aren't competitive, hard as it may be to believe. They are all just here because they see the dollar signs. Period.

The big corporations do not care about creativity, heck, even Nintendo the company that used to innovate has stopped, today it's all about money.

Nintendo keep on bringing out the same game but with a different number and parents keep buying the games for their kids in the millions POKEMON I see you. Activision also does this with Call of duty and their are others.

These parents keep buying. Hey mom part 12 is out I want that too but son you keep buying the same game over and over I don't see any difference Mom I want it. OK I will buy it.

Thank goodness for third party developers, there are our only hope of innovation left.

That is why I keep saying there is no war.

If Apple announced a gaming console tomorrow. The first thing the media would do is come out with headlines saying Microsoft now have competition can Apple overtake Microsoft. But in reality what would most likely happen.

Apple would take a couple million fans away from Microsoft. But Microsoft would still be here and be making lots of money.

Sony and Nintendo will also probably lose some of their fans to apple but Sony and Nintendo would still be here.

And then the media would be like who out of the big four will win it all. or get the most market share, when in reality all will make money. someone will end up selling the most consoles but by how many million.

Look at the market today Nintendo is ahead by 25 million but when all is said and done in 2 years time that number may be down to 10 million or 5 million can you really call that a victory its more like a three way tie.

And that is what I have been saying all companies are making money, there is no war, just media hype.

PlayStation & Nintendo would never lose their fan base to Apple Home Console.

You clearly are out of touch with the gaming community. I'm guessing you don't even understand why PS Vita will be Sony's last Handheld Console, while the 3DS has better first 24 months sales then any other video game system ever.
