I was thinking about starting a thread about this, but I realize it's not going to change anything. In my opinion the media started this whole competitive thing between the consoles which in turn give their websites hits, which turns into money, it's all about money. Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft aren't competitive, hard as it may be to believe. They are all just here because they see the dollar signs. Period. The big corporations do not care about creativity, heck, even Nintendo the company that used to innovate has stopped, today it's all about money. Nintendo keep on bringing out the same game but with a different number and parents keep buying the games for their kids in the millions POKEMON I see you. Activision also does this with Call of duty and their are others. These parents keep buying. Hey mom part 12 is out I want that too but son you keep buying the same game over and over I don't see any difference Mom I want it. OK I will buy it. Thank goodness for third party developers, there are our only hope of innovation left.

The Wii U is more innovated then the Wii, for example:
Batman Arkham City Armored Edition
ZombiU
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Game & Wario
Pikmin 3
Wii U Golf Prototype
Nintendo Land
True Panarama View on Home Console (ability)
Single-Player-Asymetrical-Gaming (ability)
NFC (ability, as shown in E3 2011)
Geomagnetic Sensor (ability)
Second touch screen on Home Console (ability)
The 3DS is more innovating then the DS:
3D
3D Augmented Reality
StreetPass
Play Coins
SwapNote
DLC on Handheld system
True Panarama View on Handheld System
Surround Sound (6 speaker sound)
Virtual Surround Sound Speakerphones
Connectivity between Home Console, like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate & Super Smash Bros. & etc.
Exchanging stuff like music playlist within 100 feet automatically if you opt for it.
IR built into Handheld system
60 fps in Handheld system
The only thing the DS did was polygon graphics & second touch screen.
The only thing the Wii did was Mii & motion control.
