If Apple announced a gaming console tomorrow. The first thing the media would do is come out with headlines saying Microsoft now have competition can Apple overtake Microsoft. But in reality what would most likely happen.

Apple would take a couple million fans away from Microsoft. But Microsoft would still be here and be making lots of money.

Sony and Nintendo will also probably lose some of their fans to apple but Sony and Nintendo would still be here.

And then the media would be like who out of the big four will win it all. or get the most market share, when in reality all will make money. someone will end up selling the most consoles but by how many million.

Look at the market today Nintendo is ahead by 25 million but when all is said and done in 2 years time that number may be down to 10 million or 5 million can you really call that a victory its more like a three way tie.

And that is what I have been saying all companies are making money, there is no war, just media hype.

PlayStation & Nintendo would never lose their fan base to Apple Home Console.

You clearly are out of touch with the gaming community. I'm guessing you don't even understand why PS Vita will be Sony's last Handheld Console, while the 3DS has better first 24 months sales then any other video game system ever.
