Still dont think its gonna do that well, especially when compared to other DQ games.
Really wanna see WiiU shots/videos. In HD, this is gonna be gorgeous.

To me, 500k opening, which is good enough.
But Wii U version for me too, at least in interest. It'll be a completely different game with the gamepad.
And a good help for Wii U in japan.
I think it'll do DQM numbers, so around 500-600k FW. Obviously, around 250-300k again on the WiiU, so it'll do well, but poor compared to past games.
Looks nice, though. If only there was no subscription fee...
I'm a pretty big Dragon Quest fan but I honestly don't see myself buying this :/

Dragon Quest X will feature an open-ended story, as well as features introduced in Dragon Quest IX, including co-op multiplayer and character customization, Dragon Quest X can only be played offline for few hours and need to access online later to enjoy the full experience. There will be a subscription fee.

That's why I'm never going to buy it.

Yes, but FFX sold 600k FW in Japan, but FFXI sold just over 100k. MMO's are huge turnoffs in Japan. And 600k FW is damn good, I reckon around 2mil LT over both systems in Japan alone, perhaps 3mil WW?

Japan love's playing stuff online. This will be no different. Plus it is one of their most beloved game series. |
True, it's extremely popular in Japan.
But what happened to trying to make it more popular in the West? Was that idea just thrown out the window?
I, for one, thinks it looks really good and can't wait for the WiiU version (I assume that will be the only one to make it out of Japan). I'm hoping for free online play in Europe as well

edit : never mind, that was awesome
but I still don't seem to get how the gameplay works.
