C'mon Rol, we both know that a port of MDK2 on XBL or PSN would have sold at least 6,0000 units in just its first week on the service, let alone over its lifetime. WiiWare is a mess, it's a pain in the ass to find any game other than the top downloaded ones, which are always either Nintendo games or knockoffs of PC freeware games. On top of that, the online functionality of the Wii is an afterthought, where as it is a primary focus on the 360 and PS3, and new XBL and PSN games are always promoted right on the main menus upon booting up the console. Unless you intentionally go to the WiiWare channel, and then specifically look for the most recent releases on the service, how would anyone know what software is currently on there, especially the casual audience that dominates the Wii. Hell, the majority of Wii owners don't even have their console connected to the internet at all times! |
So long as you have your Wii network connected, little snippets mentioning the latest releases will scroll by on the space for the Shop Channel on the Main Menu, so there goes that point.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
