no they were not, you could turn them off. how could i forget Crysis 2? played it at a friends house and it was not all that, it was pretty but that means nothing when the enemies get stuck in place |
ohhh....Dang it. Those crummy controls made throwing a grenade an unenjoyable event. Do you understand how hard it is to make throwing nades unenjoyable? The only other game that did this was Homefront and only because the throwing animation was the worst EVER.

I like no games so you like all games which means you like playing Ubisofts Imagine series for the DS.

you dont have to tell me they suck thats why i turned it off ASAP. Try the game again you might like it more.
now that i think about it, NSMBWii is alright. Playing the game by yourself and not worrying about what the other 3 idiots are doing, its a pretty sweet Mario game. Still not better than 3 or World but its close
I think what is the real issue to disagree with with the list of the OP is that those are all multiple title IPs.... but when you think about it most of these had that much good reviews for their launch title and really became bland or bad or deteriorate with time.... but Halo 1 pretty much made FPS really viable on console.... zelda or link is one of the best console RPG we had back on NES (yeah I know about the other but did they survive) the conceptual idea behind the first bioshock was brilliant..... call of duty made the real army FPS game hot on console (arguably medal of honor too and some others) GTA created it's own genre etc etc.... so yeah the X version suck or is still more of the same.... but it is like most movies rarely equal what the first edition made for itself but just the fact that it is as good or almost as good is enough for people to ask for more because they don't get tired of it just yet.... and upgraded level design couple new things and it's enough for them to chew on until the next one..... not many games can even pretend to half of that especially after 4 ,5 ,X iterations

I agreed but GTA 4 is in the top for me, the game have nothing on GTA SA NOTHING¡
dull boring open world game full of texture pop in with dated shooting mechanics and the most casual of all the casuals things AuTO aiming¡¡¡¡ WTF ¡¡¡¡. GTA with auto aiming ? is not like a 8 year old is gonna play it .
Assassin creed is overrated specially is you think that Prince of Persia SoT have much better combat mechanics

Amen.
Other very overrated games are Call of Duty series, Halo series, Gears of War series, GTA4, Final Fantasy series, Fable series, Infamous.

Like he said he doesn't have the nostalgia. Some games don't hold up as well graphically and control wise as others, so if you didn't play it when it first came out you may have a hard time playing it for the first time now. N64 and PS1 games are largely victim to this. Heck even Mass Effect 1 though great when it came out almost feels unplayable now. Most of us put up with all of its issues when it was released, but after ME2 it feels like pulling teeth to play the combat portion of the first game. |
Firstly, he was talking about OOT when he mentioned 'nostalgia'. I'm talking about Metroid:Prime.
In 2002 when Metroid:Prime came out he was 6 years old.
Its not clear when he played it, but its extremely doubtful that he would've been able to give a fair verdict. You can't trash one of the greatest games of all time just because you looked back at it 9 years later and you were bored. If you go play Halo:CE now on Xbox you would be amazed at how dated it is.
