A little known fact... the 3D GTA games have always been a way to knock the US and its society. Most people don't know that. So I'd be shocked if it were set in another country.

Sounds like you're reading too much into it.

Moscow is the obvious answer, St Petersburg also.

Maybe Krakow or Prague or even montreal.

When did Canada move to Europe?

They think they are Europe light.

I just going with their continental gender identification.

Really? I wouldn't even put it in the top 20. A modern city centre with no personality that clashes with the old surrounding areas. It doesn't even look particularly German with 80% of it rebuilt after the war.

Take a look at places like Bergen- Norway Ptuj -Slovenia, Venice?

He was clearly joking/being sarcastic.

Nah, I'm serious. But I may be just a little biased because I am from Frankfurt myself. I have been to a lot of cities, but I just like Frankfurt best. Mainly because of the hessian culture. (Is that correct? I don't know the translation for "hessisch", Goolge said hessian xP). There is even a building that looks like a glass you use for drinking apple wine. People just call it "Geripptes". I love that. We also have the best food! Franfurter Grüne Sauce is the best meal that was ever invented. Period.

I know I might be in the minority, but I still like Frankfurt a lot. =P

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Actually, there are quite a few Montreals in Europe:

I doubt you’d see the franchise move to Europe. You’d have to address the migrant crisis and I don’t see any developer/publisher with the balls to do it. Also, Americans don’t really care about Europe for it to be a viable hit. Chicago, NJ, San Diego? Somewhere with a high crime concentration in the US is more like it.

Since the UK broke free of europe and the Brits trying to canoe it over to America. ;-P

Um San Diego is on of the safest big cities in the States...

Considering its right on the border with Mexico thats pretty good

I think Italy, Russia and France would be the most fitting, you can find many biomes in the first two and all three of the countries have ties to various forms of criminal activity, imho Italy would be best because you could set the game in Naples, merging an awesome location with mafia, the seaside, A VOLCANO and lots more would make the game incredible

GTA: Napoli would be amazing! Such an interesting city. Lots of cool districts, too.

I'm from Giessen originally myself (70km away) and I always thought Frankfurt was one "assi" and ugly city (GI isn't much different though, minus the scyscrapers ;). Not debating there are some nice areas where the bombs didn't destroy everything, but hell...even in Germany there are countless placed i'd prefer to live in, especially in terms of objective "beauty". But hey, I also don't like Grie Soß. ;D

But I sure do love Hessisch people...So..Ei Guude! =)
