Is this website and Gamewise very slow for you?

Yeah, Gamewise is more about the content about the games and their content than the forum posts there (they're called Brainwaves), which is unfortunate, as the site barely has any people working on content (in relation to the number of games that come out). And most of the Brainwaves are either reposts of gamrReview articles or mobile hackers/gamers asking for help.

Of course, the biggest problem seems to be getting ioi to work on the site's main problems, which is something that is unlikely to happen, considering his track record with this one. I haven't heard from him in around two months in regards to Gamewise.

Yeah it's not looking that great or friendly, which is a shame really when you consider what it did to this site.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

People visit Gamewise?

I believe it makes ioi like 3 or 4x the ad revenue than VGC.

That can't possibly be true. The site gets far far less traffic than VGChartz.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I never truly understood what gamewise was uniquely about or the purpose it served when ioi was always explaining it, but I was hoping it would be clear once it was released.

Unfortunately, I still don't understand it. Why would I want to visit that website?

Our database is there now and users can add information about games.
That means if there's something wrong here (release date etc.), it's because it is wrong on Gamewise. Everyone could fix it instead of complaining.

Release date errors could lead to games having sales on VGC, even though they haven't been released just yet. (because the pre-orders are added as sales)

Apparently the search isn't working properly on Gamewise at the moment.

maybe casual gamers don't use adblock ? :D

anyway doesn't look so good on Alexa

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/gamewise.co
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/vgchartz.com

but i guess ioi and crew have to put much more work into VGC than into Gamewise, since there the users are doing the dirty work.

ioi explained it once. He wants gamewise to be the imdb.com of gaming.

I don't go there as I have no time for multiple sites.

Also use ad blocker. I tried to give this site a go for 6 years without it but the ads got so bad I said fuck it I need to be able to read the site within a minute not be flooded with video and audio ads before I can read something.

It was true at one point. No idea in the past year, because he hasn't been around to talk about it.
