I think they're going from the thumbnail, maybe also the first few seconds. The former in particular would be a bit embarrassing, since that scene, if anything, looks a bit less washed out with DLSS5.

There are significant changes in the tone mapping in that video, so some textures look brighter, but it goes both ways, and some also look darker.

I skimmed through it and it does look cleaner and brighter. It doesn't look cyberpunk anymore.

Me too, and I'm not getting that impression at all. I guess we must be noticing different things about the changes.
