All the time spent working on Mario Kart World, yet they didn't bother giving Mario Kart World a good roster, just random enemies thrown in as drivers, and fewer battle modes.

You should try not being so negative all the time, it seems like every time you post you're complaining about something.

It's because I expect the worst from modern gaming. It comes from experience. -_-

The GOAT Mario Kart gets even better. I really want to try 5-8 players sometimes. 8-Player Smash on Smash for Wii U was a blast for me (didn't get people together unfortunately for that in the nearly 8 years I have had Ultimate).
I really hope Double Dash gets added to NSO and MK Wii when Wii NSO hopefully comes. Switch 2 should be a Mario Kart machine as one of its functions.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 159 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million, then 161 million)

PS5: 116 million (was 105 million, then 115 million, then 122 million)

Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

If you apply a negative mindset to everything and only fixate on the bad, you're only making yourself miserable.

Try looking on the bright side, there's so much good stuff in gaming today, it's not all bad, not by a long shot. In this case, we're looking at a free upgrade to a beloved and popular game to make it even better.

…How does MKWii get any better as a result of MK8DX receiving a visual enhancement for Switch 2?

I’ve come to learn over these past few months that the internet really is just an echo chamber of outrage. And most of it is just nonsense that nobody will remember in a few months/years.

Having taken a step back from online discourse in recent times (in addition to having fixed my unhealthy 4hr daily sleeping routine oof!), it’s really crazy just how weird these things people who are online all the time get hung up on.

Yeah 90% of pretty much everything nowadays is just endless moaning, fake outrage, and grifters farming this negativity for engagement.

People need to remember how to enjoy things and appreciate the good instead of hyperfixating on the bad.

Mario Kart 8 is great, but Mario Kart Wii is vastly underrated.

I enjoyed playing it with my mom a lot back in the days

Amen, MKWii is one of the greatest party games of all time, my memories of playing it with friends at University, laughing and cheering and crying out in dismay as we tussled for first place are among my happiest of that time in my life.

Free update? That's nice to hear.

Updates are always free as they only adds some functionalities and fix bugs, DLCs(additional/new content) cost money.

Mario Kart Wii was talked down because back then everyone was accusing Nintendo of "catering to the casualz". It's an amazing game but because it had items and stuff (shocking for a Mario Kart game, I know!) gamers and reviewers said it was for casuals. Thankfully, we've moved on from this childishness, but the game's reputation still suffers from it.
