Remake of SF64?

I don't remember them using the word remake, but seems like it is.

Edit: IGN is calling it a remake.

Edit 2: rewatched the start, they say it's "based on Star Fox 64". Weird to not say it's a remake if it is the case.

Yeah, seems like it but wasn't said..  not sure how to feel, guess it depends on price.

Sheen, this is the 4th time you've shown Star Fox 64 in class.

Finally, Star Fox 64 with DLSS 5!! My dreams came true at last.

You disliked the more realistic look?

I think Fox in particular looks strange, but the rest looks ok. I've never played a Star Fox game tho, so I guess I'm only used to the main character so that's why its the only one looking strange.

I am going to laugh if it is more than $30.  The game is a few hours long and a remake.

Yeah, I think all the characters look hideous. Environments are hit-or-miss. It looks like some cursed 2000's reboot... Star Fox is at its best when it looks cartoony and fun, say, like the 2D animation they showed at the start (from the Mario Galaxy movie).

Either way I don't see the point in playing yet another remake of Star Fox 64, just with weird cutscenes in the middle. It's literally the exact same game, except for the multiplayer mode I guess. This franchise is doomed to never move forward as long as Miyamoto's calling shots.

Yeah the design from the movie they showed right before it looks quite a lot better. I think the water looks pretty good so at least at a technical level it's ok.

Either way, I don't think the series was ever mainstream so they are probably sell in within low expectactions. A shame to hear its not the game the fans were hoping for, tho.

Probably going to get priced as $50/$60 as Yoshi and Splatoon Raider, like the not big games they are announcing lately.
