That number dropped to almost half for those who owned a PS4 and an XB1. And the only thing that's changed in the past 5 years is that Xbox console ownership has fallen off even more with PS and Nintendo only rising.

So yeah, they don't directly compete with eachother on a large enough scale that matters. Lots of people have both, and it's been like that since the wii era.

We've already explained to you about console dev kits and current gen systems on how they are made.

MS will not bow out and then go on to make a "hybrid", when that is what their current system is (seriously, what do you think is inside your "console"?). MS would do like MS and publish their own data, just like they've done before.

I know you're making a big questionable point about "b-but will we be able to track it's sales", because I mentioned about Steam CCU data, but I feel like you're just doing that on purpose to fuck with me, because no one is that stupid to suggest MS make another "console" and then magically stop talking about it's unit sales.

Also it's not "complicated" either, we already have the Steam Deck, and Pem and others have already told you on what the device is and how it works. 

This data does not show you the sales of every GPU sales every week in every part of the world like vgchartz. I don't understand why you attack me for simply asking a question. Don't worry i did not attack your beloved PC😘. But it would be interesting on how MS' next gen Console/PC/ Hybrid whatever they'll do will be. As a console i would track it but if its a standardisised PC with standard components- the same in every unit- wich are exchangable like in normal PCs i would find it hard to track. Tracking sales of GPUs at vgchatz? I don't know. All 5 years maximum we would need to add/ remove new GPUs to our chartz. Bit lets see what it is first. No need to attack me! Peace!

MS wouldn't drop out of the console space to then come back in with a "hybrid PC" system, because that makes no sense for them to do so.

Why would VGC show data on GPU sales?, why would that matter to someone like you who claims time and time again that you have "no interest" in the PC platform?. You claim "attack", and yet it is not, it is me simply replying to you. You on the other hand like to make convenient excuses to look down on a platform you once again, claim to have zero interest in, despite being told by other users on why your shoddy viewpoints are flawed. 

There is only "peace" when you stop gawping on about the platform you claim to have zero interest in, as well as mocking it openly as inferior, or worthless. You keep calling anyone that sells to the PC platform as a "bitch", which is a negative connotation and a mockery that selling to other people on another platform is somehow bad/frowned upon, and yet it is happening EVERYWHERE.

I call Sony a bich for porting to PCs. Discontinuing Blu Ray production is they worsed moves they ever did. Everything went well till today. Why change? Why take away reasons to own a PS5 console? Why give Nintendo a monopoly. Even if they move to PC one day they will be the last to do so and then gaming as we knew it will be dead!! But Nintendo would be the overall winner of these wars because they will be the last to produce physical games and the last to give up exclusivity. This you cannot argue against!

But i would stop gaming and many others as well if there was only PC. Before that i would do any sport no PC or console can give me: Shooting my Desert Eagle, Snowboarding... What would you do if there was only Console gaming? Would you continue or whine after the PC?

Except Sony isn't being a "bitch", it is in their vested interests to grow their own ecosystem by reaching out to multiple platforms, they've been doing this for years with mobile, and now it's PC, just like MS and other companies have been doing over the decades. Wanting to sell to PC does not make you some "bitch", it just means they are wanting to invest in other venues, that's how business and trade work.

Blu ray cannot continue forever, and Sony are not interested in inventing another disc-type that is likely to be about the same as Blu Ray discs were, because that would just involve a sunk cost for what could very well be a failure. If you look at all the platforms you will notice a rise in digital sales, digital formats have been evolving over the years from MP3/MP4 to MKV, Flac and so on. Storage drives have also been vastly improving over the years compared to the Blu Ray disc and it's no surprised why even the consoles have adopted storage drives over memory cards from the PS1 days. 

Nintendo wouldn't even have a monopoly, because they do not appeal to absolutely everyone on the planet. There are people that play on multiple platforms ranging from mobile to PS to Xbox and PC, even PC handheld devices like the Steam Deck and Rog Ally. Gaming won't die when consoles die, because there will still be mobile gaming PC's and PC handhelds. Gaming is not a "console only" thing, it's also a part of PC gaming.

Yes I can argue against it, stop pulling a Kerotan and acting like I cannot, you've been like this with other folks on this site and it is really, really getting old and annoying. Gamers would not all stop gaming if it was just PC/mobile. In fact more folks have been moving to PC over the past 2 decades, but knowing you you'll claim it's minute, despite all streamers having PC's, people buying and even building their own, and the rise of users on Steam every single year. 

Why would I "whine" after the PC?, isn't that what you're still doing towards said platform this entire time?. You keep making it out like PC is this rotten, "non-gaming" platform that should be ignored or forgotten about when the consoles die off, and it's just so fucking weird to see you gawk on about it in this manner.

A mobile phone is not a gaming device. Its a different targeting group. Its limited gaming without physical buttons. Yes you can add controllers but mobile games are not made for controller use in mind. Before i would use a phone for gaming (😂) i would even take a cheap assed PC. If it was only PC gaming will get worse. Worse for us, also for you my friend. No physical games. No launches where you wait in front of a store lining up with 100s of people. Just sitting in front of your PC/Smartphone screen whatever you use and wait till launch day midnight till you can press the download button. Thats amazing!! Full of emotions?😄 Watch the Videos how people stormed in stores for te PS4/ Wii/ Switch launch! Also watch the release of new games especially Pokémon/ Zelda/ Mario. Watch how many people wait for the new GTA in front of stores and guess what? It won't be the PC version they are waiting for! This launch day will be blue and green! There is even a better chance it gets red as well day 1. These are real emotions not some more pixels you pay 5000$ for. Its like prefering to watch a concert digital on youtube/ live in TV instead of going there (Corona greetings😂). Many people would loose their jobs if gaming area in stores close and they need to find something else... be a computer specialist or get no job with gaming. Not for me! 

You made the argument that you don't need a PC for entertainment, because you have a phone. Similarly people use phones for gaming. All devices have limitations and upsides. That is the point really, people play games on many devices and many different sort of games. None of these options are 'wrong' or something.

Nothing is wrong with Consoles, Handhelds, PCs, phones or whatever. Its just problematic that console developers give up exclusivity and soon there will only be Nintendo! You really only want Nintendo as the only one with physical games and exclusives? If they where and soon they will be you can kiss games like F-Zero, 1080°... goodbye. Then we should get prepared for more ports. Nintendo won't see PCs or Smartphones as direct competition. They will see an all digital Xbox without exclusives and just think: Nice games, but we will get them soon enough. If PS goes the same way by porting games over they will think the same. Why buy a PS/ XBox over a Switch 2 when you get most Xbox games + Nintendo exclusives you get nowhere else+ maybe even a few PS games in some years?! You can be sure Nintendo won't "thank" MS or Sony with porting MK9 to their systems. Thats what i mean! Exclusives are the reason you buy consoles! If there are no exclusives why buy their consoles? 3 consoles (ok PC and Smartphones as well) where you get different games are healthy for the market. Not only PC and Nintendo.

Where are the videos of people storming in stores for the PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X?
There were none.

And if you missed it... there were a lot of photos and some videos the last days showing 100s of people camping before PC stores to get a RTX 5090 or 5080 on launch day.

But I find it very strange how you can romanticize such queuing and storming a store for a limited product anyway.
