I assume some sort of Sonic game, but unsure which one. Sonic Adventure 2?

Decent guess but that's Live and Learn, this one is a little later and shares it's title with the game

Need to catch up - first set of clues below (sort of thrown together)

49
There could be up to 4 previously unvisited countries on your itinerary.

48
Those precious collectibles are found in the levels here, rather than in bonus stages like in its more powerful namesake.

47
Robotic animals take each other out in this title from the developer of one of the biggest franchises of all time.

46
The playable character is like the antithesis of Freddy Krueger.

45
You end up solving everyone else’s problems whilst trying to solve your own.

50) Pokemon Red and Blue (and Green)

#41 - Super Smash Bros. (N64)

This game was a very important part of my gaming life. I enjoyed playing with my friends a lot. Super Smash Bros. was our favorite game back in the days, and I'll never forget the insane fun we had after school.

#40 - Sonic Generations (PC)

This game was highly antecipated by me back in the early 2010s. I was really happy when I found out it was coming to PC too. I still remember a certain night when I got the demo on Steam and found out the game was really a lot of fun. Sonic Generations is a great experience for both modern and classic Sonic fans. In my case, I love both styles.

33) Sounds like a Trails game, Cold Steel III?

32) Last of Us Part II

Correct on all three.

Here are my 50-41 games:

#50 - God of War III
14 years later, the scale and scope of this game still boggles my mind

#49 - Metroid Dread
Sublime action, excellent production design, and sphincter-clenching stealth sequences make this one of the finest Metroid games

#48 - Darius Gaiden
Arguably the best shoot-'em-up ever made, Darius Gaiden excels in moment-to-moment gameplay, visuals, music, and replay value

#47 - Super Smash Bros. Brawl
While it falls behind other franchise games in terms of mechanics and/or roster, it tops all others when it comes to its extraordinary adventure mode

#46 - Halo 2
While not quite as special as Halo: CE -- that was lighting in a bottle -- Halo 2 is a stellar shooter with amazing single-player and multiplayer modes

#45 - Devil May Cry
Amazingly fluid and fun combat is what elevates this inspired hack-and-slash game

#44 - Shadow of the Colossus
Few games are as immersive, emotionally powerful, and mechanically gripping as Shadow of the Colossus

#43 - Beyond Good & Evil
Just one in a long line of remarkable games from Michel Ancel, Beyond Good & Evil excels in music, storytelling, and diverse, multifaceted gameplay

#42 - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Sakurai's masterpiece, Smash Bros. Ultimate is simply the best video game crossover ever made

#41 - The Legend of Zelda
It's amazing how ahead-of-its-time the original Legend of Zelda feels, even now

So I guess it'd be Sonic Heroes then?

I'm confident that's Eternal Darkness

Guessed by @UnderwaterFunktown

I feel like this game is always on the edge of being cut from this list yet always stays in it somewhere. I have such mixed feelings on it really. Sometimes I think it's too fan-service-y and redundant in the Zelda franchise. Other times I remember how amazing it felt to play it for the first time, and all the great dungeons in the latter half of the game. I'm still baffled that this never got an orchestrated soundtrack, the terrible midi soundfonts seriously dampen the "epic" experience it's going for. So between all my mixed feelings and the game being genuinely very good in spite of them... Yeah, I suppose it can stay around here. It may not be my favorite Zelda game but it's still a damn good one.
