Sure buddy, you certainly don't have any alternative motives ;) but regardless vgchartz will adjust their figures to whatever Nintendo says just like they just did for Sony. So i need to adjust my prediction because you aren't very clear on what figures you are using. Vgchartz uses Nintendo, Sony, and the many other trackers to adjust their figures but you seem to only ever want to talk about vgchartz sellthrough for obvious reasons but I digress. I have to ask, if Nintendo ships 160 million Switch but vgchartz stops tracking Switch before it sells through the shipments, are you going to say it failed to hit 160 million? |
Yes, I don't have alternative motives, since you can't change a number. Either way in the end the number will be the same, but for the time being, it's more accurate to use sold to date by a monthly basis numbers instead of 3 months shipped ones. You don't need to adjust anything. @Pinkie_pie wasn't sure where Switch stands and I simply answered him. And I prefer to use more up to date numbers by monthly basis, which are sold, instead of shipped by 3 months.
VGchartz won't stop track Switch before it sells the shipments. But in the end of course that Nintendo's saying have the biggest weight, since they know more than anyone how much exactly they have shipped. But again, for the time being, I prefer using numbers sold, and I prefer to talk about the latest up to date figures, not the once updated per every 3 months. This is one of the extra options sites such as VGChartz gives you. And I on the opinion that every manufacturer should give this information for every of their consoles too. But they don't.
