The game engine wasn't exactly designed to take full advantage of nVidia's Maxwell feature set.

Heck, I would be surprised if they even added NEON support in Breath of the Wild in the Switch port.

The original engine wasn't, but it will have been well over 6 years since BOTW by the time TOTK comes out, they could have worked in some updates over that time.

There's also just the higher baseline of no longer having to work within just 1GB of RAM for instance.

I've gotten used to 60 fps, don't think I can go back. I hope they announce a switch pro next year or even a new nintendo. If bundled together with zelda will definitely buy.
