Great News from UK: New Sales Records for The Last of Us 2 :) I am curious to see how it looks in the other countries.
I am thrilled, the quality is strong. The gameplay rocks and is better than in the first part, the story is very emotional and exciting.

It beats any Sony exclusives.
Comparing to Switch ones I dunno, but I believe some have sold faster than it, perhaps BotW, Mario Odissey, Animal Crossing, Smash and DK.

Mario Odyssey - 2 million
Pokémon Let's go Pikachu/Eevee - 3 million
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - 5 million
Pokémon Sword/Shield - 6 million
No numbers for Animal Crossing: New Horizon but with the numbers we got it probabily sold over 7 million at launch

PS4 FF7R: 3.5M <Shipped, not sold.
ACNH unknown but presumably higher than 7M. Same with Sun/Moon.
I'm doing digging on others for PS4 and Halo. Doubt any other Switch titles make it on here - BOTW was day 1 with NSW hardware so there's no way it could have moved >1M over the weekend. BOTW2 will make it high on this list though.
4m+ is a really impressive launch and while it is a little vague I'm pretty satisfied with my 4,1 mil prediction.
