I guessed 3-4 million because I think it’s a short week, right? (Friday release). Doesn’t really matter - I think it will eventually sell over 20 million on PS4/PS5 combined

Usually SW releases on short weeks of 2 or 3 days of sales, most of what is sold in the end is pre-order.

It releases on the friday so im gonna say 5m first week. It will of course be the best selling game on ps4 so 18m lifetime on ps4 is my prediction

Bonus: Around 20 millions LT

I would say 5.1 Million Units on its first week. Considering the release date being a Friday, The Last of Us 2 stands a very good chance of doing 5 Million Worldwide with little to no difficulty. As for lifetime, I would say 20.3 Million.


I would want to go to 19.7 Million as my maximum but I feel that the holiday season will help The Last of Us 2 get past that 20 Million mark. Way too many good deals in North America alone within the holiday season for TLOU2 not to exceed 20 Million even if by a little.

When we say the first week do we mean the first 7 days (Friday to thursday) or the first week in which it's released so Friday to Saturday 2 days?
