I find gaming on PC like going to a restaurant and being served food that you have to deconstruct or assemble yourself. Like shell on prawns or fajitas. By the time you are finished, your appetite is gone.

Sometimes you just want to pay for something and have the experience dictated to you. No setup, no tweaking, no bug troubleshooting.

Steam / Origin / Uplay / EGS / GOG / Windows Store...

1. select interesting game

2. buy game

3. download game (automatic install once the download is finished, patches get installed automatic)

4. start game

PSStore / Xbox Marketplace / Nintendo eShop:

1. select interesting game

2. buy game

3. download game (automatic install once the download is finished, patches get installed automatic)

4. start game

PS / Xbox retail game:

1. select interesting game

2. buy game

3. open package

4. insert disc (automatic install, patches get installed automatic)

5. start game

Yeah, it is totally different and much more complicated on PC.

I mean, that's 6 problems you've stated there alone.

Clearly I'm just my own prisoner if PC is allegedly just as easy to use...but I still game on console more for ease of use.

I agree, many console gamers seem to have big problems with choice and options and competition.

The fact people in here have to explain how you can get the console experience on PC is the exactly the reason why most console gamers will still buy consoles

Convenience is a mental experience too

And yet PC does have that in some areas, yet the same crowd are completely being stubborn and unwilling to learn, nor see that.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Seems like his point flied above your head by a country mile.

PCs have everything: games, series, films, DVD, BD, music, streaming, internet, books. You can do all that on PCs.

Yet, people still read real books, collect real comics, watch films on a TV, stream TV content using boxes like Apple TV and obviously play games with a console.

This idea that PCs will be the entertainment central and would kill consoles and such is very old. Yet people still own lots of boxes to plug to their TVs. Consoles will always be one of them.

Consoles are still very plug-and-play regardless of content download and installation. Perhaps with cloud computing and streaming consoles will miniaturise, but I don't see all players just having to deal with PCs to get their gaming fix.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

I really don't see much difference between PC, XB3, and PS4 nowadays, except that PC has a lot more flexibility (game mods, controllers, etc.) and Online gaming without a subscription fee.

I don't keep up with new games nowadays. And given just how many games there are, it is impossible to play them all, so I just find what I like and often at a good price.

Yea, the only reason why I have a gaming PC is because of whatever games are not on Xbox that I may want to play. It's more comfortable to have a console than a laptop/pc to play with in the living room. So I don't see consoles disappearing, I just see them evolve the way games are sold/rented via cloud/streaming or whatever system makes the most sense.

No. Imho, a console with no exclusives doesn't make sense, making a good PC is a much better option.

As long as it had physical yes.
