Great Switch-numbers before the Pokemon-wave

The PS4 releases of the last week are slowly dropping out of the TOP spots, leaving more space for the Nintendo evergreens. Call of Duty is incredible though. It is at nearly half a million, it surely is a million seller in the end. This is very surprising for a western game like this.

For hardware... the Switch is pretty good with nothing new. Probably bundles I think, do we have already Smash, Fortnite or Diablo bundles available by now? PS4 is at baseline. 3DS is pretty bad, even more considering it has a new release at #1. Vita also doesn't look very healthy. Both will be clearly on their way out next year, Switch can take over their market (while PS4 is mostly unscathed by Switch).

10 years greatest game event!

Here is the week 45 update in terms of the two big consoles in Japan's path to be able to reach the commonly stated (in these sales threads) estimates for 2018 sales (2 mil for PS4, 4 mil for Switch) .

TWS GD YTD % Goal AWN (Change)
PS4 16,081 -66,034 1,359,155 68.0% (+0.8) 91,549 (+9434)
Switch 54,235 -191,483 2,088,488 52.2% (+2.1) 273,355 (+27,355)

TWS - This week's sales
GD - Goal differential, the difference between the average week needed from last week compared to this week's sales
YTD - Units sold in 2018 so far including this week's sales
AWN - Average weekly sales needed to reach the estimate for the console.

At this point, it looks like it's merely a race to see who can get closest to the goal. The Switch would have to sell 400k+ with the Smash/Pokemon bundles in next week's numbers to convince me it has a prayer of reaching its goal. The PS4 has no chance at all. So who can get closest? We'll have a very good idea of Pokemon and Smash's holiday power next week.

Games with less than 2k units in the top 20.
That's just sad.

Also these are the worst top 20 software numbers for Switch this year. And that by a 10k margin.
Next week things should finally get better.

~60k software sales on ~54k hardware sales wtf

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Nope, there is no Diablo bundle in Japan, while Smash bundle is launching this Friday alongside Pokemon games and Pokemon bundles, while Fortnite bundle will be available on 22. November and Minecraft bundle on 30. November, and than on 7. December Smash Bros launch.

With next week's numbers (practically we talking about this week sales, 12-17 November), Switch is entering beast mode.

Do that math with next week sales. ;)

the hardware boost of Switch is reflecting the boost it will get next week. It should be interesting.

Spiderman legs remain great. It should get a bump over the holidays. Bo4 likes likewise. Super sales.
