Ubisoft brought Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Cloud Version exclusively to the Japanese Switch eShop this week. The game is free to download with a 20-minute start.
I'd like to see a cloud service launched on Switch.
I'm sure these are just access to PC games and a viable way to experience single player games.

How is it viable? The lag must be atrocious.

If it could only be a part of Switch online service ...
Even 50-100ms is massive in an age of monitors that bear 4-5ms. Not saying Cloud is useless, but games require precision and it can't deliver this yet.

You say it has better internet... then say 50-100ms? Here in Ireland I have what I would consider mediocre internet and I play overwatch at around 16-20ms If it ever reached triple digits I would be restarting my router / contacting my ISP

Cloud service needs servers near you. Seemingly the company used for cloud version of Resident Evil, Assassins Creed and Phantasy Star has only built the infrastructure in Japan - so far.

Not really. Go try PS Now if you want an idea how cloud gaming performs.
Before it went under I played a few games via OnLive.
