If you think sexualisation and fetishising someone requires literal sex or complete nudity you're being naive. Given the subject topic, the developers sure have gone out of the way to make their skirts as short as possible

I mean come on guys lol, its pretty transparent the gaze this game is made from. Just read the character descriptions. One likes manipulating adults to her will and uses this presumably on the teacher, another loves breaking the school dresscode. Lets not act blind to context.

First of all its you who sees it that way, i dont see anything sexual about that. And why hasnt valve contacted the devolopers back and asked him if he could remove some of the art or make changes? They obviously didnt, valve is the one whos shady here to me.

To me that image is just like regular manga cover, and it's lovely and cute. The dev even contacted then to ask what should they remove/redo to get accepted.

They also had redone by their own and resubmitted, Valve just didn't want to listen.

It's not ridiculous. It's perfectly normal for a 17 year old boy with his 17 year old girlfriend to become a pedophile at 12am on his birthday.

Dear gawd. When I was 18 my girlfriend was 16. Should I turn myself in or kill me right away?

You're a german. All good americans know that we germans are strange and wrong inside and have perverted porn too. Never noticed that all the bad guys drive german cars? You know why!

As far as I understand, the term pedophile is reserved for people who are attracted to PRE-pubesent children... not post pubescent teenagers . How in the world we started using that term for people who are attacked to 16 year old girls is beyond me.

Under that definition Elvis was a pedophile as he dated a 14 year old girl and married her when she was 15. I know times change but this is getting ridiculous.

The characters in this game are 9-12 years old.

In Zelda Windwaker you play a child. This is clearly aimed at pedophiles.

If you watch the trailers there's a shot directly up one of the girls skirts whilst she sits on the toilet, the one who likes to break the school dress code is wearing a white fishnet LMAO. You don't have to see anything sexual about it but you can at least acknowledge that its obviously made with an objectifying gaze in mind. Valve simply do not want to work the developer who makes games fetishising 9 year olds.

Poor attempt at deflecting. 9-12 year old protagonist are not the issue, objectifying those 9-12 year old protagonists is an issue.

It seems to have a lot of "the harm is on the eye of the looker".

The cover feels like a shoujo manga cover. i've seen much worse shit reading actual loli hentai.

I don't even know what that means but I can assume...I'm just not blind to the obvious. Y'all lack of contextualising and critical thinking is disturbing. If you think pointing the camera up someones skirt isn't enough to scream objectification, then you're either playing dense because your political leanings on censorship or you're in denial.

Read the full OP to discover this game isn't what you think it is about.

point a camera to a real person inwards without approval is a crime. And I'm against censoring anything, but that have nothing to do with the point. Also I would appreciate you keeping insults out.

I shall also paraphrase a teacher of mine "the obvious is only obvious to the one that sees it", meaning that you may think something obvious, that isn't really obvious. And the meaning of the initial phrase is that you may be seeing harm and objectification because you are objectifying it.
