Now pass SNES version! This game has an insane attach rate.

So much for it being the worst selling game in the series, eh?

Damn - deserves more sales.

Enough to beat Super Mario Kart (SNES)!

I don't see how it won't! I think by the end of the year it will be very close to SNES, without 100-200 K either way.

Hmmm. It must reach 10 million, even if the NX does release this year. Crazy.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Adios Double Dash!

Goes to show, install base isn't the be-all-end-all factor in a game's sales.

Wii U has half the Gamecube's install base, but still Mario Kart still sold more on the former.

Well MK8 is the better game

And for those who like to break them down correctly.

Just because it isn't in the format you prefer, doesn't mean it's incorrect. Stop.

Yeah the correct format is obviously the tie ratio

I still remember how Polygon kept on insisting that MK8 was going to be the worst selling title in the series.

Not insisting, "projecting."

Anyways, I may have to revise my hypothesis about the series. I used to wonder, in light of how its sales tended to track the Wii and DS' hardware units, whether the game was almost as much a "why not?" buy as it was a system seller, since the small sample size I followed tended to rise and fall almost proportionately to the hardware it was on. But now the game is selling well while the system it's on is not. Back to the drawing board for me, I guess...

Completely deserved sales for the best game on the series.
