For the love of all that is holy please watch Cowboy Bebop. Then try the Persona 4 anime on for size so you can have an idea of what to expect from this game.

 I watched the two first episodes of Cowboy Bebop, it wasn't bad, but not good enough to keep me from watching the rest. I did hear it gets better later on, but oh well. I never said I hated anime, I said this game reminded me of the bad animes.

Cowboy Bebop starts out good and keeps getting better. It does take a few episodes to be introduced to all of the characters.

I saw nothing here that looks anything whatsoever like Sailor Moon or Naruto. Seriously, try a couple episodes of Persona 4. It will probably be something like that.

Or he can watch the Persona 3 animated movie, which is mostly true to the game's story.

The style actively repulses me, I freaking hate that Persona/anime/high school/teenage heartthrob hero stuff. Then again, I never planned to buy it anyway. Not my cup of tea.

That's what's so unexpected here. Because Persona has only been on PlayStation consoles so far.
There have been SMT games and spinoffs on Nintendo consoles, but Persona persistently remained on PlayStation only.

Now it's looking like WiiU is getting one that PlayStation owners are not. And certainly not Xbox owners.

I think this is a great win for Nintendo. Like it or not.


What about Persona Q, the 3DS exclusive?

Looks good but nothing like SMT in terms of tone, I guess the name change was appropriate. I wonder if there'll be social links

Edit: Maybe they'll reveal grimdark SMT elements in the future, not like we know everything about the story
