Its been renamed.

Renamed to what?

Illusory Revalations FE in the West.
Revelation of the Illusion ♯FE in Japan.

I'm pretty sure those are just two translations of the Japanese title, not the official western title.  The second one does sound more likely IMO.

Also, the FE side of the setting seems to be some kind of parallel universe or dimension relative to the modern Japan-based setting.  Least that's what I figure.

I'm loving the role reversal over this one; Nintendo fans slamming a Wii U exclusive while the Playstation fans seem keen on it. XD

That sounds like a good thing.

I actually think it is intentional to a degree with Nintendo.  They know a lot of sales can be had as a complimentary console so having a game that has distinct appeal to a subset of the PS fan base could help sweeten the deal for those potential customers

In Japan it's called "Ganei Ibunroku, which literally translates into "Revelation of the Illusion".
Illusory Revelations is the title that has been mentioned in the English interview with the creator:

Not sure if that's just another translation though, or based on info provided by Nintendo.

Well the second link is using the interview from the first link which in turn notes near the end that Illusory Revelations # Fire Emblem is just their translation of the Japanese name and not the localization title.

Hahaha

That´s exactly what I was thinking.

Everyone loses their shit for persona 5 (well i know you don´t, but still), and when we have something similar.... what a shit, this is not the fire emblem that i´ve been playing for 25 years. Dam Nintendo, and fck U Atlus for trying something new and unexpected that can bring new audiences to the wiiu. Shame on you.
