Looking at the gameplay, it literally looks nothing like SMT gameplay aside from being turn based. Look at the top. There's this active "round" based system. It looks like Child of Light, not SMT.


I see..... well.... sometimes a change of gameplay pace can be good, right?   I was expecting something similar to Devil Survivor (RPG + Strategy) but this seems a lot differente and that´s a good thing.

It all makes sense! Nintendo hired Atlus to make a spin off franchise to FE! Which appeals to a completely different audience from the mother franchise, and will eventually overtake the original in popularity and sales even though the original is (probably) better! It will be so different that it will eventually stop being considered a spin off and be recognized as a fully independent franchise! Those geniuses...

Honestly, I don't think Persona and SMT appeal to different audiences. Persona may have a wider audiences due to the characters and the heavier story focus, but they have so many similarlities I don't think you can really lump them entirely in two differnet buckets.

On 3ds, called Awakening, and "IF" coming next year.

This is something new, something exciting and unexpected. We should be glad about it. 

Instead of just antother FE with some SMT characters, we have something more like Persona. Everyone is crazy for Persona. Well, now Nintendo has something similar too. And thanks God for that.

At the very point of the direct (watching live) my internet slowed so much all i got was a pix elated mess on screen for this showing, it sounded good, but yes now i have seen it in all it's glory ,, awesome '' can not wait for this one..

I strongly disagree. I don't think they target even remotely the same audience.
